Hello all, most of you know that I am a relatively new member, and besides being a musician I have a long and involved history with RC helicopters. So obviously this has led me deep into the world of lipos batteries.Once I got into vaping and got my first mod with 18650's I really started diving into this type of battery.
So I just wanted to put it out there that there are battery workstations where you can balance up to 8(possibly more) batteries to each other as they are charging. They are capable of much faster charging also.Additionally, since each cell is monitored faster charging is not only much more accurate but much safer.
I am not sure if I am late to the party but for anyone who does not know about these types of chargers I figured I would put it out there.
Am am in no way affiliated or associated with FMA DIRECT,but I am a very loyal and satisfied customer. They are a USA(maryland)based company that designs and manufacters chargers, batts and other battery/charger/rc/flight products.also their customer service is second to none.As I have progressed I have upgraded my charging set up,and this is my 3rd FMA charger it's a 1000W beast that does just about everything you would need
Revolectrix

there are several other great charger companies out there and this is just one example that I am familiar with. So,do some research if you are interested and if you have any questions about the powerlab series feel free to ask.I have been charging anywhere from 2 3s 900 mah 30C lipos to 2-4 2600 mah 6s 40C batteries at a time in parrallel for 2 years now,so I know my way around this charger

edit:there are cheaper more streamlined versions of this charger available, and I figured with the popularity of the new wismec releaux(sp)mods using 3 batts, maybe guys would be looking for ways to have 3+ batteries better married

Thanks for the info, where do you put the batteries to be charged? Stupid question? Do you have to adapt it, noticed it only had a pigtail coming out of it inthe picture for battery packs.

that would be the only thing, you would have to wire up some battery sleds.but it would be easy and straight forward.after you spend a little time making the sleds you could just pop the batts in and plug the wires in.
on the front of the unit you see 2 bannanna female inputs these are your mains and the white oblong jack is your balancing input

Love my cellpro's and for the R/C industry they're second to none. I have a number of different types of cells from 6 cell matched NiCad's and nimh to 1 to 6s lipo's. As far as 18650's go I don't see a big benefit, a good multi charger like the Efest LUC or a Nitecore D4 or something to that is fine. I get what your saying and all but the majority of vapers aren't going to put that kind of green out to charge 18650's. I use a Nitecore D4 and it monitors the cells individually and charges quickly. It also charges NiCad, lion, nimh, I use it to charge my transmitter batteries and SLR camera batteries.

I get that totally. There will definately be some sticker shock, but as I said there are stripped down versions and other companies offer chargers at lower price points.Fma makes high end stuff.
But I definately think that if we are going to be running 200 watt mods with 3 or more batts we need to start looking into balancing.Monitoring each cell is not the same as balancing all cells to each other

look at it this way if you have a high watt 3 cell mod and one of the batteries is not pulling its share of the load then the other 2 make up for it,which means more wear on those 2 and therefore shorter life.
what I like is the ability to charge at say 2 amps while balance charging.if I wire up a 4 space battery holder Il be able to have 4 2000mah batteries balance charged safely in about an hour.My next juice order is going to include some battery holders,so,I will wire them up and see what results we get.I'll definately post
