So to start off I went from me and my GF's silver bullets rocking 510 cartomizers (after all the old 510 bridgeless on a old mech with camera batteries LOL---don't try this at home, it's not safe.) After about 2 years we made the great switch to REO's (we've converted a ton as well but they were drunk so it probably didn't go through LOL!) We were rocking the amazing RM2's on a LP and a standard reo. I just recently converted to the reo's + the odins. One thing i've noticed drastically on the switch was the difference in-between my reo and hers. The airflow, the vapor, the flavor, pretty much everything. On one coil it wasn't as drastic, but as soon as we added a second coil...
The switch REALLY pronounced the differences in-between the two. What I propose if it is within whoever is reading this's budged is to buy two of whatever rda you want to vape. I'm not sure on how the community feels but I feel like I've been able to dial in what I REALLY want by judging two of the same mods and RDA's at the same time. It may be me, but I feel when you compare the two items together you know how far back the coils need to be, the amount of cotton, the amount of pg/vg, etc.

I'm not sure, i'm rambling and a bit buzzed :2cool:, what's your opinion?

Well, to start, going from bridgeless carto's to bottom feeding Reo's is a big jump. A great jump at that.. so you did well there and made a great choice. Then combining your Reo with a 22mm atty, such as the Odin, is a a WORLD of difference. We all have our differences and like to vape different ways. If you are sticking to the bigger, 22mm you also have to stay with dual coils to get best performance/ vape!

For instance, Danny, ^above post. He just bought his new Grand and Odin off of me. As I did have MAD love for the Odin, i had more love for the Nuppin. Like I said, we all like different styles of things. I prefer dual TMC's at around .8 ohms ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Every time I rebuild its the exact same coils as the previous. The gizmo deluxe allows me to perfectly match my coils every time.

Welcome to the Ville and take it easy!

I think part of the OP's thinking was that you could use two sets of identical mods and toppers to play with build variables for comparison. I like to do that, if I can, from time to time, especially if I'm using a new atty type.

I have a standard reference build for both single and dual setups. If I have another of the same atty, I try a different build on the second atty and compare, making adjustments to try and find where that atty sings best. It was very helpful for my RM2&3, the Odin, the Nuppin', and should be for the Derringer (waiting on a second).

I spent months changing coil builds, changing atty's all in effort to find my vape nirvana. Now that I've found my calling I just build the same thing all the time as well. For my rm5, a single double parallel for a .2ohm hot vape, big vapor and good flavor, my cyclone w/AFC a single coil twisted 28 mc, .5 ohm good vapor and killer flavor.

There is value in this thought if there is money to spread around. With one device the tuning process is longer. In two weeks with my LP Grand/RM2 I have gone from nirvana to hell, from hell to meh, back to hell and finally arrived at a decent vape again (after dumping all flavor and falling back to unflavored). Presently I am scared to try anything different again in any attempt to improve. When it goes bad it goes so terribly bad. A second rig would cushion that and allow more room for experimentation without the fear of messing it all up. I am thinking of doubling down, but the legislation pending in my state will effectively kill vaping (no online sales, flavors limited to analog duplicates, 95% wholesale tax, etc...)

It's a travesty, perpetrated in a state that just got hip with the other stuff. Methinks the applicability of vaping to that which is now legal is what got them especially scared.

No matter, though. Would now not be the perfect time to build an arsenal of atties, an armada of mods, and a stockpile of juice? Your biggest concern would be that last item, and 10-15 years worth of concentrate base stores in the smallest commercially available freezer.

Thinking of making a tin foil hat and ordering a small freezer for nic. Couple liters is ten years worth at current mix. Must do research on all the long term storage variables..

Oregon will not be far behind, it may take a while for the lunatics to devour Idaho as they have the entire west coast. Elections have consequences, to coin a phrase.;)

There ya go.

Alternatively, you could get a PO Box in either Oregon or Idaho, but there is no telling how long before similar poop happens there.
