I am interested in trying direct dripping into an atomizer. As far as I can gather I want a bridgeless atomizer (510.) I am looking for suggestions I have been told a Cisco Spec .357 is awesome but has a large learning curve and is $20+. I mainly want to do this to try new flavors without committing a carto or tank to them.

The learning curve isnt as bad as people say. I just started direct dripping 2 weeks ago with the HH357. And all i have to say is WOW!!!!!!! All you need to watch out for is the dry burns when it is low. Follow the instructions and it will be fairly simple. There are a lot of signs when you are running low on juice. It gets fairly hot and the taste and vapor diminishes. When that happens, just add 2-3 drops more and your good for a few drags. Another few tips is to blow out the primer before you first use it and always keep it lubed with juice. For me a lot of people say start with the long barrel hh357 but i got the standard barrel, i see why people would recommend the long barrel. Its because when your not used to dripping on the hh357, the juices may get heated and pop up and hit your tongue. But only experienced it a few times on my first day. Hope this helps you decide to get this awesome atty! Well worth the price, mines going strong still with awesome flavor and vapor in 2-3 weeks in.

Is it a bad idea to use rebuilables on an ego battery?

    IMO .... YES.

If you are good at making coils, and do a good job of testing them first you would be fine. But, it will only take once for a shorted coil to destroy your eGo.

Short ckt protection of some sort is a must for RBA's in my opinion. This can be a fuse, hot spring, or protection built into the chip.

As tj99959 posted ElectronicStix.Com · Joye Tech 510 Atomizer 2.0 OHM Low Resistance is perfect for your needs. I'm still using 4 out of my first 5 attys from 1 1/2 yrs ago. It will have to be occasionally cleaned.
