I don't know what they are called, but some electric guitars have an accessory clip that holds the cable so you can make a loop a few inches from the jack (I'm assuming that's so if you move too far with a short cable, you'll have a chance to feel it pull before it stresses the jack). I saw a bass player a few months ago that had an ego batt in his cable clip.

That's a good idea, have to look into that, its amazing how many musicians I have heard of that are vaping, even Barry Manalow.

While I do sympathize, I have to say I never liked seeing a burning cigarette wedged into a guitar! I actually got pretty excited when I realized I can now play guitar and vape inside...

I actually never did that. I always had a thing about a cigarette leaving burn marks on my headstock. Though, I must admit those burn marks do add a sense of character to an old strat.

When I smoked and played, it was either in my mouth, in an ashtray close by, or extinguished.

There is a perfect spot on my KORG where my ego fits and stays put. I always get questions after shows though because people see the little blue light and then suddenly I'm exhaling copius clouds... *shrug* miss the days of having an un-lit nat sherman dangling from my lips though. I'd be too tempted to light it now. :/
