The thrice weekly cigarette run, the winter time freeze my .... off smoke break, the $50 per week expense, and the slight yellowing of my index and middle fingers from smoking cigarettes down to the ...., because at $10.09 per pack, I wasn't wasting anything ... in fact their were times that I contemplated smoking the filter too, so I could feel like I got my monies worth! .. (jk re: the filters)

For me it is easier to tell of the positives that I have experienced since I quit smoking.
My hair always smells pretty now
I no longer stink of cigarettes
I'm not hacking up a lung multiple times per day; but particularly severe when I first woke up.
No more "greying out" during a particularly bad coughing spell.
My teeth are whiter.
My hair is a brighter shade of silver.
Food tastes better - much to the detriment of my waist line.
No more burn holes in my clothing, or the furniture, or my car.
No more smoking outside in inclement weather.

Struggling to get the smoke lit in a strong breeze

The other day I stepped out of a store into extremely strong wind. I instinctively cupped my had around my mouth/drip tip as I went for my first drag...I was giggling to myself for the next block realizing this was never needed again.

i did the same thing just last week. felt like an idiot.

one thing that used to get my goat was being prepared for the strong winds with a zippo or torch lighter only to find out it was too cold to operate them or on rare occasions so windy it didn't matter. talk about a frustrated fiend...

Trying to light one when the wind is gusting so hard it nearly blows me over.
Dropping ashes into my drinks (that was especially problematic while driving).
Losing my lighter under my car seat in just the right place so it's nearly impossible to ever retrieve.
Smoke blowing into my eyes while driving.
Running out at 3AM and praying the only 24hour gas station in town had them in stock.
Going outside in the summer heat, or the below 0 degrees winter.
Forgetting to take the pack out of my jacket before doing laundry.
Leaving the pack on the porch and realizing it after a torential downpour.

So many things I don't miss lol. Those are just a few I could easily think of.

Getting 5 miles down the road, and turning around to go back and check the ashtray to see if I really did put that one out!
Burn holes in my clothes.
Hacking, hacking, hacking...did I say hacking?!
Worrying about running out of cigs...

I do miss my Zippo though, love that smell ;) clink/zzip/snap! and sound :)
