Are batteries a prohibited item to import? I did some searching and those stores seem expensive compared to deals online, but I'm holding back on ordering unless I know for sure it's alright.

I never had a problem buying CR123As in bulk (48, 96 pieces etc) in the past. That said, if you're buying in small quantities, the savings is not worth the trouble of the anticipation that you may not receive your goods so..

If you're shipping in in large quantites, the shipping won't be cheap. batts are classified as Hazmat by ICAO. USPS limit is 2 piece max and has to be installed in the device it is supposed to work with.

You have a higher chance by shipping with DHL, FeDex or UPS. they hav dedicated freight carriers and will ship hazmat for a small hazmat fee on top of the regular charges.

Thought DHL doesn't ship the batts right now?
*Removed*

You have to declare them as batts. You may be charged an additional "Hazmat Shipping Fee." That is if you shipping plain batts like this

Ego, Kgo & whatever PV has to be declared under "equipment with battery installed category."

Many webstores in tiongland ship using a shipping agent. Most of the time these agents simply refuse to accept the package if it contains batteries or liquids. This doesn't mean your preferred shipper don't accept them, it simply mean the agent don't want to go through the hassle inspecting the goods to certify that they have been packed properly and in accordance with ICAO regulations.

This does not apply to PVs only, anything that is in powder form also fall into the Hazmat category. Yes, I have shipped printer toner refills from USA. The shipping agents they use are absolutely professional in their work and the seller packs them securely for air shipment. So I have come across any rejected packages from USA. Tiongland is a different story, I've only manage to get general stuff that does not require them to give up an arm or a leg to inspect.

Talking about charger. Those using i4/i2 do you experience NiMh batteries getting very hot during charging?
I was charging few days ago and went touch. Nearly burn my hand. Faster took it out to cool and after awhile put it to charge again, everything is good again. Wonder what happen.

I had the same problem but i think it fried my nitecore i4..i only discovered it after coming back from toilet and smelled something burning..kinda like a burning solder smell..i was glad it didn't catch fire or something..quickly took out the NiMh battery i was charging..but the i4 was a goner.

So now i use different chargers for NiMh and Li-Ion batteries..duno if that incident was a fluke but hey, better safe than sorry.

Hey guys was about to charge my ego k for the first time. Watch some YouTube videos that says the light will turn red when it's charging and only green once its completed. But my charger indicates green just as I put the battery. [*removed]

Don't think you're allowed to discuss about shipping in here.

It's usually comes fully charged fresh from the box. Vape till it dies than charge. Usually takes a couple of hours depends on battery capacity. Vape safe. Cheers.

hmm don think its consider fully charge,
may be partially charge
so all u need is to used it up for the first time then after that give it a full charge.
so that the battery can be nmore long alsting.

Can the Nitecore or any other charge for that matter charge 2 batteries of different sizes at the same time? Like a 18650 and a 18490 at once.

I guess should be since my stupid charger also can charge batteries at different sizes at the same time.
I don think this nitecore is branded as intelligent charger for nothing. hehehe

Ok then I will get myself one of those 4 bay Nitecore chargers. Hope it does not explode when I charge 3 different sizes at once.
