(for those new to E-cigs) brands you shouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole.

I've been on an njoy for 60 days now without a single analog (40 years of analogs) .. due to my ignorance of what else might be out there .. glad I stumbled on the forum last month, and will be taking the plunge on something better very soon ..

Point is, njoy is not as bad as some like to claim .. it's readily available and the company has, perhaps, done more for the ecig market than any other company, at least from what I've read ..

I have not heard too much about Njoy at all. The only time I heard of them was when I was going to run out of my reg brand and they were out of stock. I was desperate to get something fast so I would not go back to real cigs. The tobacco flavor was one of the worst I ever tasted.
It is alot cheaper to buy e-cigs online and their are much better ones available.

I agree, and until I discovered there were alternatives, I was spending more and thought it tasted weird .. however, it did work for me when I quit ..

V2cigs - Not complaining about the company, they have been fine with me. BUT after trying my girlfriends little joye 510... wow.. what a difference. I am now ordering a Ego. Seems to fit our smoking habits. Could order the Tank after but for now, we will try the ego.
Anyone seeing this, read read read before you buy. V2cigs is not..."THE THICKEST VAPOR IN THE BUSINESS. ASK OUR CUSTOMERS!" Nor do their CARTS taste good, burnt flavor, and way too much air intake with each draw. REALLY harsh and HARD throat hit.

Just my 2cents!

GreenSmoke was my first - and luckily I found this forum before my 30 day "money back guarantee" was over. And I have to admit - they refunded more than what I paid for the kit (I think someone dropped the ball, since I had used a discount code). GreenSmoke took two weeks to arrive, though, and as a 14-year eBay seller, I didn't have the patience for that. lol While waiting, I headed over to the semi-local mall to purchase a Smoke Free kit (I THINK they are the same as Smoking Anywhere). $110 later, and at least I cut from a PAD down to 5 cigs on the first day. Their vanilla was okay, but GreenSmoke's was better. GreenSmoke's cartos were so inconsistent, though.

When I realized I could get the same exact thing (a KR808d-2 kit) for $40 from AZsmokefree though, I sent back that GreenSmoke kit, put away the Smoke Free kit and have used my "no name" d-2s ever since.

Just ordered a Riva eGo two days ago, and it's on its way from CA to PA. Waiting semi-patiently. :D

I have not heard too much about Njoy at all. <snip>

Back when the FDA was blocking shipping of e-ciggarettes being imported into the US, nJoy and smokeing everywhere were the two largest companies fighting the FDA.
Other companies may have been affected, but these 2 companies were spelled out on FDA press reports.

FDA's beef with smokeing everywhere was that company's health/quit smokeing claims.

FDA didn't really target nJoy until nJoy started to work agienst the FDA ban.

I'd like to make a mention of the XHale o2... while not nearly as bad as a lot of the others (it's only $20 for a charger, battery, atty, 5 prefilled carts...$14.99 o_O for a pack of 10 prefilled carts) It's what ushered me into the world of vaping... but the problem was the actual amount of liquid in the carts... I mean, the amount of polyfill was literally a small piece taken from a q-tip..it was literally that small.. the super-small container it sat in inside the cartridge held about 5-6 drops.... and for them to claim that was equal to 2 packs of cigarettes!!!??

One that I actually like is called 'Square'... a couple of my friends have purchased them to try vaping.. they only cost about $7. They are a true 1-piece design, not quite sure how it works. They are manual, as well! (first 'mainstream' manual I have seen, actually). I picked one up the other day, just to try it.. and I was actually pretty impressed with the flavor/vapor and how long it lasted for $7.

I agree more or less to all of these. The NJoy has helped some.

But let's not forget about the special mall kiosks that DO say what model they are using. I got scammed by Totally Vapors at a local mall. They told me that it was a genuine Joye 510, which it was. One starter kit: 1 510 batt, PCC charger (with the a/c charger FOR the PCC), 5 carts (none were filled), and a bottle of juice (seperately, $25 for 20ml)... $120.00 The price to ME was fine because I had no idea what I was doing and just REALLY wanted to stop smoking... and of course it was a last minute decision because my bronchitis was getting worse. Once my atty was screwing up and I didn't want to pay (get ready for this) $35 dollars for an atomizer. So I typed in 510 joye and was immediately directed here. I was throwing a fit practically when I went to cignot.com and saw the prices of attys. I then did a juice search and again was frustrated as to how badly I got ripped off.

SO... even if they DO say what they're actually using... it can still be a rip-off!

As a person who is new to vaping...I would definitely suggest a 501 for your first kit. I wish I had read this forum before I started because I got a dse901 for my first buy and it was nothing but a pain. Especially if you want to use cartomizers because the 901 cartos lasted me a day each and had to be refilled every 30 mins. I have an Ego now and I love it. The 501 worked great but having to charge batteries every hour an a half got to be a pain. Especially when I was out at a bar that didn't have any outlets around.
