I live in a VERY isolated area from the rest of society compared to the rest of the US. The bigger towns near me (still a 100mile drive) just recently got a couple of B&M shops.
I posted this story in another thread, but here goes. I went into one of the b&m's with my Provari when it was still working, with a Phiniac glass carto tank on it. The guy working the counter asked me who made my mod, and I held it up so he could see the Provari logo. At which point he holds up his VAMO 5 with a PLASTIC carto tank on it, and tells me, "what you REALLY need is one of these bad boys here.. And those glass tanks are good for nothing but breaking."
At this point I asked just where he got his "vaping education" from, and turns out he had never even considered vaping until he got that job!! So like someone else stated, I avoid B&M shops now. I do all my research online. Watching video reviews and coming to ECF to ask for consumer input from owners.
And I'm not trying to offend anyone here. The VAMO is a perfectly fine mod, I keep a VAMO 2 as a backup in fact. But it's my personal opinion that it's not as good as the Provari. PERSONAL being key word there. And the fact that this idiot is selling vape goods to people, when he obviously had no knowledge of anything other than what's available at his store I find offensive. Simply because my siblings both spent too much money on crap batteries and tanks that were probably just recommended to them by the store worker's "whim." Neither of them found their devices to be satisfactory, nor did they like the liquids recommended to them, and despite all my efforts, both went back to analogs.
I realize we all start SOMEWHERE in the vaping world, but you shouldn't limit yourself to only the products you sell. It blew my mind this guy owned a VAMO and had never heard of Provape or the Provari ... And sadly, both my siblings will probably just continue smoking because THEY believe having to order everything online like I do is too much of a hassle.
