I haven't been brave enough to try the lorann oils simply because it's so hit or miss as to which ones are OK for your atomizer (not oil-based?). Is there a master list somewhere or only still a partial list for those daring enough to put their attys at risk?
well it's not entirely in one place
basically you don't want any that are labeled as "oil" (though all are named as such, but not all contain oil) such as "anise oil" or "xxxx oil" they should just have a name of the flavor.
basic ingredients are just water, PG, and flavor. some have ethyl alcohol as well.
there was a big debate on certain ones that have "dyes" in them, such as Red ## and Blue ## and i think Yellow ## (## being a number of the dye) since those have not been "tested" and proven safe to inhale, but the general feeling is that the dye is a very small percentage of the total fluid anyway, so the "risk" is a bit overstated. several people (namely Walrus) have been using them with no side effects or noticeable effect at all. i've picked up a few myself and nothing has happened to me over the last few days
so yes, the creme de menthe is one with a dye in it, but is a VERY strong mint flavor, but more akin to a menthol, not just "mint." it really tingles your mouth
i wouldn't tell you to do it or not, i mean, just read around in the DIY liquid section and only try something if you're comfortable with it, you know?
but as for "generally accepted as safe" flavors, the lorann site lists the ingredient details, so you can always just get ones with only water, pg, and flavor and avoid the rest. it just limits your selection
i'm not a big menthol fan, but i did get a few of the last menthol carts that PS had for sale just to try it out, and i must say the creme de menthe tastes A LOT like those carts.
