Forgive me as I am new. Probably daft question but here goes...

As with most things in life what one person likes another will hate and obviously the same is going to apply with ecig flavours. s there a guide or info anywhere to compare what is on the market with the cigarettes you usually smoke? My usual brands were Mayfair and sometimes benson and hedges gold. Got no idea what to pick from all the tobacco flavours out there from the many different suppliers. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks in advance

Not a daft question at all :)

However, you aren't going to get an e-liquid that tastes the same as a burning real cig, But some juices come closer than others. Check out these UK e-liquid reviews, though as you say one person's likes & another may hate as it is so down to taste -

Theres plenty info in the E-Liquids forums about good and bad brands, and you can read others reviews on various flavours. I've learned from reading and recommendations that Vape Escape is pretty good for most of my supplies, and they stock Griswalds e-juice....which a lot of people seem to enjoy.

They sell sample packs where you can pick-n-mix a few sample flavours to try for £10 or so, and theres a discount code ECF10 to knock a little cash off too. I'm patiently awaiting the sample pack I ordered at this very moment :)

Welcome to the vaping community and just first know that no question is daft. Even after 4 years I still have questions.

One thing for certain is you will probably not find an e-liguid flavor that tastes like your cigarette, but you may find one that will be acceptable. And the really good part, and I take the liberty of speaking for many on this forum, is that in time (and not too long) most find they don't want a cigarette taste, or smell or even look of a cigarette. It's the marvel of senses getting back in shape.

I personally have never found a tobacco liquid I really like, the closes was RY4 or 555, but now I don't want anything close to those. My flavors of choise or daily vape is Bavarian Cream or Irish Cream, with some variety at times.

Good luck to you in your new adventure and remember that it is really truly a wonderful adventure.

And sample packs offered by many vendors are a great way to start.

Have fun....

Do bear in mind that all jacvapour kits are KR808D type threads & therefore not comapitable with majority of 510 cartomisers/clearomisers etc that most UK vendors stock. However, you can use a 901/808 to 510 adapter on a manual jacvapour KR808D battery, but an adapter wont work with their auto batteries.

Never had experience with those at all, but from recommendations made here, I got the following kit and it's everything I wanted;
The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

One thing I have learned from the few e-cigs I have had though, is that the more cigarette-looking they are, the worse they perform, but thats just my opinion. The jacvapour does look pretty slick in some photos though :)

Good morning Chrissie
Yes am aware that the Jacvapours are different, but they do seem very stylish and i love the casing. Will do as you suggested and get an adaptor. As i am new to all this can you explain the difference between manual and automatic batteries? All i have used thus far is a bog standard elite purchased at my local corner shop so i have no idea

Having just looked at your kit i am in a bit of a quandary now DM as it looks great, especially the silver one, although i still like the idea of the portable charging case of the Jac. Decisions decisions!!

Well lets see if I can help you a little then. 1st off, a manual battery just means you press a button as you're vaping which heats the coil, whereas an automatic, you just suck. I prefer the manual, as you can control how much you heat the coil vs how hard you vape.

Secondly, whilst a personal charger sounds really handy, I've honestly been using my 1st of these batteries for 2 days now without a charge, and its still going! If I'm out of the house for a while, I just take my case with spare batt with me...the case also has some other flavours in it for if I fancy a change.

The stainless Riva does look excellent, but after I got mine, another new user tried to order one but couldn't find it on the site, so perhaps a quick call to Vape Escape may be needed to get a stainless model.

As I said, I have no experience with the jacvapour but I'm sure searching around here, someone will have used one :)

Thanks for your help DM. Still havent made my mind up, but i like the idea of not charging up so often as it's very annoying. There are so many options to choose from it is be coming a bit overwhelming especially when you don't understand some of the jargon etc.

No problem at all, and I know exactly how you feel being bamboozled by jargon :)

As I mentioned, I've not had charging issues at all because they way I'm vaping at present, these Riva batteries are lasting 2 days before even needing a charge, and even then the kit comes with a spare.

However, if you're away from home for days at a time, a PCC would be invaluable, however personally I'd always take a charger with me, as I wouldn't want to get caught out. Plus I have access to USB for charging with my iPhone plugs and cigarette lighter adapter in the car.

Maybe a search around the forum for others experience with PCCs may help a bit, and YouTube is always good for peoples reviews.

Hey mate. I only got that juice today. I was starting to think it had become lost.

Anyway, I can honestly say it's the closest that I have found to a real cigarette. Smokey with a very slight sweet taste on exhale. Doesn't taste chemically (for lack of a better word) at all. Still, I recommend trying a sample bottle if you can get them. We all have different tastes afterall.

Thanks for getting back to me Ewol. What vendor sells that one? Will definitely give it a go.

Hi im from essex, i to was in a similar situation, when starting out, and after much research i went for the rok jet black kit, it is amazing! for several reasons, firstly, the size, they are very close to a real cigarette in length and most importantly width, alot of other brands tend to be wider 9.2mm instead of 8.5mm like the rok's also they have the most powerfull batterys of there size on the market. the carts work really well and can be refilled and used many times!
Since owning this kit i have moved onto an ego kit with clearomisers, the rok kit is up for sale if interested, its only a month old and comes with everything plus some juice. i also have the 5ml x 5 grizzlys sample kit for sale with caramel tobacco, honey tobacco, honey beez, manly vanilla, and candy cane if interested.

Hi Matt. Welcome to this forum. Also thank you for the offer of your old kit but you are 2 days too late! Ordered a riva 1100 kit. Shame you didnt post earlier. Never mind, i am sure you will find someone to take it off your hands.
As you are also in Essex do you happen to know of anywhere in our region that we can go have a look at stuff ie a bricks and mortar shop stocking lots of options? i have been looking for days and can't find anywhere.
