During my anxious wait for my PV to arrive, I've been gleaning as much information as I possibly can. Yet, I do still wonder about a few things.

I purchased an eGo starter kit from LF and a couple drip tips. I know I should have gotten a couple backup batteries and other such accessories, but I wasn't sure what type to get so I erred on the side of caution. (Also, was waiting till ye old paycheck arrives next week.) I'm pretty sure I'm going to be dripping mostly at first to get a feel for vaping and while I learn the ropes. Purchased a few sample types of juice from 3 different vendors as well.

What else should I put on my list for my next orders?

Do I need separate carts/attys for different flavors? (I plan on trying lots. I can't stand the taste of analogs anymore.)

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the eGo T system but I'm a little fuzzy about if what I purchased would be compatible with it. Are they two totally different PV's?

I'm sure most of this will make more sense to me once I actually have the eGo in my grubby little mitts, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would at least order some cartomizers. I know you are saying you are gonna main "drip", but for driving and when you dont feel like dripping cartos are WAY better than carts IMO. And you dont have to worry about flavor transfer, you can just have one carto for each juice you have since you can get cartos for like 1.25 now. Although with an Ego I would recommend buying LR cartos and they are a little more money.

You will find out that some attys or cartos are better for one certain liquid, and worse for other. Also that depending on the liquid, some will be better at higher Ohm, and other will not. But as a beginner I wouldn´t worry about that, and first learn to use the things you got.

Personelly, I believe it is not a good idea to start now with a tank system , they look very easy, but in use they can be complicated, even for experimented users. As a start, the so popular Boge cartos, or the dual coils you could get, they are very easy to use, and awfully good tasting.

Dont make it yourself complicated now, there will be time to get more stuff.

Dripping and driving can be dangerous, so I'll second the suggestion for buying some cartos. You don't have to buy a separate atty for every flavor because you can just blow out the atty or vape through the previous flavor and then change flavors. The only time you might want to have a separate atty is for strong menthol or cinnamon flavors.

The eGo and eGo-T aren't different PVs, the T just uses a different type of atty and a tank. They're interchangeable and you can use one with the other. Word of warning on the T model; some people really love them and some people really hate them. They don't wick well if you're going to use juice with a lot of VG in it. From what I've read on the forum, the atties can be very tempermental. Not trying to say don't buy one, by all means give it a go if you'd like. I'm just trying to give you the info you need to make an informed decision. Do a google search on the forum for "eGo-T" and see what you come up with. There's lots of reading to do!

Thank you everyone!

I promise, no dripping and driving. (Thats when I'm going to use what I've heard people refer to as "willpower," and not vape/smoke while in my car. Just at the start until i get my equipment in order. Although, I've never had any of that willpower stuff before and I'm having a hard time finding a place that sells it, so it should be interesting.)

I'll pick up some cartos and another battery next week.

Oh! And I talked to my mom about vaping and she wants me to pick out a PV for her and my father. Oye vey! I just figured out the basics of this stuff myself! Now I gotta teach someone else? /grin (i'll happily teach them though...my dad has had TWO strokes and still smokes a pack a day.)

Cartos taste terrible to me. I can't see how people who drip regularly can stand them when they drive.

I know I'm going to get flamed to hell and beyond for saying this, but I drip and drive all the time. With the technique I use, my eyes never leave the road and I'm in full control of the vehicle the entire time. I simply hold the PV in my left hand which is also holding the top of the steering wheel. Then I guide the bottle into the drip tip by feel (again never looking at the PV and keeping my eyes on the road). I give a tiny squeeze or two, and I'm good to go. I don't watch the drops go in, I do it by feel.

That's the freeway technique anyway. Otherwise, I just drip when I'm at a stop light.

Biff nobody should "flame" you I have dripped while driving also. Only do it when I can keep my eyes on the road though. The Reo's (mini & grand) pretty much put an end to the dripping and driving though and they are awesome road warrior tools.

We all have favorites. For me it is the Cisco 1.5 ohm 306. I have tried many atty's but that bad boy just seems to hit the spot for me. I will agree most cartos suck but IMO there are some that are pretty darn good. My favorite has to be the IKEN v2 which gives a great hit and lasts for about 30mls of juice. I also like the boge LR 2.0 ohm cartos. I use these when a bottom feeder or dripping is not practical, like air travel, mowing the lawn etc. Happy vapes

Well...I just ordered my mini a few minutes ago, so I won't be dripping and driving for too much longer in any case. Eventually, I'll get off my .... and send my Grand back for repair and be doubly covered. :)

That mini with a AW 14500 batt will fire a Cisco nicely!!!!

Everyone forgets ... when they get a chance, and the $$... spare charger for whatever your setup is.

If that fries, you're "what you get when you are joined to another object by an inclined plane wrapped hectically around an axis." (wouldn't want to stress the forum rules... besides that quote was just on TV last night).

However, if that is a Tardis in your avatar... you can always transport around anyway.

I do that too but in early mornings I get super cautious. I will drip usually when I get to a stop sign/light. We got a lot of deer in area and I can just see me smashing into one if not careful. I dunno sometimes you just have this feeling and slow down and pop comes a deer.

Tardis = Doctor Who (Brit SciFi TV Show - he runs around in a British phone booth time machine thing... see OP's avatar... could be it.... I wasn't sure)

Ego T batteries are almost identical to Ego but one person said they have on/off switches added? Is that true?

Other than that, you can just buy a tank atty and tanks and a syringe and try the Ego-T setup on your batteries. I think there are two sizes Ego T atty and the larger one can use the larger tanks?

You have 2 batteries. You could get a backup one. Or get an Ego PT and a PT capable USB to AC to vape w/o using a battery. I do recommed at least one more charger. I use a Rosewill 4-port 2amp YSB to AC adapter from NewEgg and stick my assorted battery cables on that. Can charge 4 batteries on one outlet.

You could buy a 510 threaded mod. But I recommend you stick with 510 threading for now. Later if you want to try incompatible stuff you could do that. Like some people like 901 attys or 801 attys. You can just buy 99 cent adapters at Goodprophets if you want to try any of those attys on your Ego.

One mod looks almost like Ego - E-power 510 - but the battery opens and you just pop in some more charged industrial type AA-sized 3.7v batteries. Then there are a lot of other shape mods you can get with 510 threading. Lots of 3.7v ones (3.7 is a it hotter than Ego) and some variable voltage ones that go up to 5v if you want more heat (can kill attys fast! You need to find ones that can take it)

Cartomizers - many people love cartomizers and Boge are the most popular, the standard resistance ones are what I use and your battery will last its full normal charge. The LR ones deliver a bigger hotter hit, may use juice faster, use your batetry charge faster.

Drip tips - good you got some

Juice - this is a cornucopia that never ends. I am not kidding. But finding your first few that really hit the spot for you can be challenging.

So the Saturday stroll to the mailbox only resulted in a 1.96 cent dividend check and no PV or the assorted juice samples.

Woe is me.

/whining mode off.

Actually, it was more of a brisk jog to the mailbox, as I was excited with what it might hold. And why do they even bother sending me a check for a buck and some change? The paper is worth more than the check!

I learned last night that I can't watch video reviews of juice, parts etc... 'cause it makes me even more ancy. Watching Dog and Clay vape tasty stuff makes me feel like a kid who didn't get picked for the kickball team and had to help the P.E. teacher put up equipment.

BBT and Sheldon FTW!

I just got a check last week for $1.00 Miller High Life is now my "official" sponsor since they paid me...lmao

K, so back on topic...I would definately suggest at least one backup battery and I think you should try the dual coil cartos...they are awesome IMO.
