... By the way, any of you guys ever vape in the movie theatre? Did you do this stealthfully or with a bold disregard for people's opinions/reactions?

I was just at the movies this afternoon, vaping very discreetly and lightly, Ego palmed with LED button concealed.

You can easily clean your cartos by just running water hot or cold through them until the water runs clear. Blow out any extra water and set them on some paper towels to dry overnight or however long it takes.
You could use a blow dryer to dry them too.
I guarantee your juice will taste a helluva' lot better afterward!

Okay, had to pop in here and say that although I loved the battery life on the Rivas and eGos, I wasn't a fan of the cooler vape and no adapter worked 100% for me between a carto and 510 connection, way too much fiddling. If it were me at this point in time and I wanted to stay with the 808 connection, I'd go with the PigCig from LeCig; PigCig by LeCig or the iGo from Nhaler; The iGo . The PigCig runs at a true 3.7 volts like the kr8s and from what I've read the iGos run at 4.2. PigCig comes in 650 mah and 900 mah, the iGo in 1100 mah. Granted, they're more expensive than our beloved Liberty Flights Riva kits, but at the time that would have been worth it to me. I say at the time because I've moved on to dripping on a 510 mod, so it's no longer a factor.

As to really good cartos, I think the current majority tends to vote for Ikenvape blanks, but unfortunately they're closed until the 16th.

Please, please, please, when drying cartos blow as much water as you can out and then either put them in a low heat oven for an hour or cushion them in a pair of socks and throw them in the dryer. Cartos left to sit with water on the inside of the batting are prone to mold and mildew which would not be good on the lungs. PG, VG and nicotine all have anti-microbial properties so cartos sitting with juice in them is not harmful, but sitting with water dampened filler is!

If you want to stick with the wc 808 batteries, I would suggest vapor4life for some blank cartos...they at least have a soft end cap that you can remove easily for refilling...and way cheaper than wc too...
If you're ready to move up to longer battery life, then yeah, the Ego 510s are a good choice....never tried the pigcig, almost did once...
Anyway, good luck.

I boil the cartos on the stove a few minutes, toss them in a colander and rinse under hot water, blow them out then toss on a small cookie sheet in the toaster oven on low heat for a while. never gets them hot but the warmth dries them faster. I myself worry about the coils and such rusting so want them dry fairly fast

The Volt still looks a little high-dollar to me for what it is... Though definitely cheaper than what you were using. You can find comparable KR808 kits (2 batts and charger) for as little as $30, and you can buy all the accessories individually and come out way cheaper than the Volt. BUT, if you know you're on board, you may consider spending a little more and getting a nice variable voltage mod. The ProVari and the Darwin are currently kind of the Cadillac models, and you can get moving for around $200 on either one...

Definitely can clean the cartos you have... Lots of videos and such available here, just run a search. I boil, dump, boil again until the water runs clean and the boiling bubbles don't hold (which is a sign of residue in the water). Usually takes about three boils per batch. Then I shake as much water out as I can (I put a carto condom on half way, and shake them like I'm shaking down an analog thermometer, but a taryn spin works well too, also search for taryn spin). Then I bake them on the lowest setting in my toaster oven, about 150 F, for about an hour and a half. They come out like new.

Again, lots of info here, but that's what works for me...

So, welcome to ECF, and do your homework before you buy anything!

I would just buy some new empty cartos. You can pick them up at LiteCigUSA, Vapor4Life, Ikenvape. Many vendors sell KR808 cartos.

Also check the forum supplier section for lots of sales

Wow! Thank you so much for the discount code and info on the Riva kits. I have really wanted to buy a couple to use as gifts. I bought 4 kits and some Boges. I will gift them to my brother and his wife and a young man at my husbands office that couldn't afford a kit, but wanted one. This makes it super affordable...thanks again!

Didnt read the whole thread, but i agree about the Ego- except- I prefer the Riva- I like the 3.7 vape- i DO se a differnce. and I have to have Riva.

I agree whole heartedly agree here. Riva has a good product. Suspect that coming from selling (and buying) 200 to 300 kits that 30 bucks may seem like a "you get what you pay for" situation. In this case - don't think that is anywhere close to true. 30 buck kit, 10 dollars for juice, might get you very satisfying experience for a month or more. If no equipment problems (and unlikely), another 10 bucks or so, and you have a month more. I suspect it will blow rings around white clouds. Good luck.

I did not schedule the funeral... his family did. He died in a car crash. I dont know why the funeral was so long after the incident, it may have only been 2 weeks I dont remember exactly.

Thanks for the clarification. I hope his family is doing the best they can. If you're in the 3.4-3.7 volt range, I'd say try some 2ohm carts. They have a good taste and won't stress your battery or burn out too quickly. Nhaler has some that I like. Good luck searching, that seems part of the fun...

If you use and like the 808 cartos just get a 901 Threaded Riva from Liberty Flights for $30 I have a 901 Riva and it works with all of my 808 cartos. Attys are a PITA IMO although I do use them to try new flavors. If you do get a 510 threaded device try the Dual Coil cartos. Taste and vapor are great and they last so long there is no need to clean and reuse them.

Edit I did hear that Dual Coils are soon to be released in an 808 connector :)

Liberty Flights- Riva ego $29.99 when you click the 20% off coupon on the top left-

Get some boge 2.0 cartomizers
delrin drip tips.

This is the best advice so far. Rock solid setup, high performance no fuss and low cost solution. The Boge cartos are very good and inexpensive. They cost less than $2 and they will last for sure for a few weeks. This makes cleaning them unecessary and perhaps uneconomical especially if you run the oven or clothes dryer to dry them. :)
