This issue has nothing to do with them as it is a manufacturing issue and will probably show up with many other vendors as well

Poor Chinese manufacturing quality control is hardly a big secret. This issue will not show up with vendors who give their products at least a quick once over before sending them to their customers. I don't want the aggravation so I happily pay a little bit more to do as much of my business as I can with a seller who does check what goes out and generally catches the worst of the Chinese messes.

I'd give it a couple of days and see if this can be fixed with a new cap. I know the guys at VB are working on getting this sorted out as quickly and easily as possible.

Did you hear back from vaporbank unloaded? I haven't heard anything back since I contacted them a couple of days ago.

I received mine from VaporBank today, and the bottom cap threads onto the middle tube. Granted it feels a little less precise as the bottom tube in regards to how well the cap threads on, but a little noalox and 5min of turning it back and forth fixed all that right up.

I haven't used a V1 bottom spring to compare tension differences, but mine felt pretty lose and the bottom cap started getting warm after a few vapes. Sticking a Silver Bullet hot spring in the bottom cap fixed that as well.

All in all, I'm happy, and it works with no real issues as of yet.

I was in there today but they were swamped with customers also John wasn't there. Didn't get a chance to talk to anybody about them. I'm sure he's already got the ball rolling though, should be a solution coming soon.

Oh I didn't know you were local your post made me think that they had contacted you. I was just was worried that you had heard and I hadn't. Alright I will try to calm it down a bit. I'm just really liking this mod and it's really long in 18650 mode. I like em short ;-)

BTW, if this assists anyone, the ProVari thread die matches the VAMO. I have a spare regular end cap from one of the ProVari's I gave away last year, and it threaded onto the female end of the bottom tube perfectly. Believe it or not, it even matches the diameter of the VAMO as well.

Now if only the bottom tube had female threads for the bottom cap, I'd have a spiffy cap for it :(
