if a vegan eats gluten free than how do you get any protein at all. Gluten is a plant protein. I dont know why gluten is suddenly something to fear. There is animal protein and there is plant protein. Gluten=plant protein.
Anavidfan,
Many people, inlcuding myself, eat gluten free. I have been under the care of a rheumatologist specialist, and getting off gluten has done wonders. Also, many people are gluten intolerant, and there are atually people who have Celiac's which is a very serious illness, and can eventually cause stomach cancer, etc. It wasn't noticed years ago, like in babies with colic, or young people with reflux disease.
I had to go vegan for a year, and I was working with a licensed nutritionist at our hospital.......I had no problem getting my protein or amino acids. My cholesterol did go down by almost 100 points .
At any rate, unless you know a lot about veganism, and also eating gluten free, there is no need to bash it. I do find the OP to be obnoxious, but I think making fun of gluten free lifestyles and vegan lifestyles is not really necessary here, is it?
There is quite a lot of good research on gluten, and other proteins that turn on inflammation in the body, this was actually shown to me by licensed nutritionist and my rhematologist.....we can now actually SEE genes for inflammation turning on, and off, with the intake of certain foods, CERTAIN proteins, esp. the ones that wreak havoc on those with rhuematoid arthritis, etc.
