RDA Freakshow mini RDA - Drinking my eliquid when I vape

With regard to the seeping bottom on this atty:

I saw a post elsewhere that got me to think about heat expansion/contraction and for whatever reason, I clued in at the same time that this is the first rda I've owned where the base isn't lipped. I suspect that the contact with the mod at the base is acting as a wick for the condensation in the chamber, and that it's likely facilitated further by the hot/cold nature of the atty.

Next time I throw this atty on, I'm going to keep it just shy of flush-mounted and see if that fixes this particular issue.

[Update] So far so good. No moisture escaping from the bottom whatsoever.

Good call. I get that condensation on my Sigelei if I'm seriously chain vaping the Bonsai. Not the Derringer though, probably because it does have a lip on the bottom..

I ran my atty with about 1mm of space and it's dry. This is bothersome to me for aesthetic and connection reasons, though I still really enjoy the vape. Yeah I noticed the flush topcap to atty base caused the liquid issue too. It's not horrible, but some liquid will find it's way on the bottom of the atty/top of mod. I'll try leaving a gap as well, good call. I feel it happens when you put the top cap back on the atty, pushing some liquid off the o ring downwards.

I thought the same, but it happened from a dry build and no messing with AFC. Whatever the cause, the contact is definitely causing it to wick. This was the final piece of the puzzle, vaping great, vaping dry.

It goes. I've been rocking the dual coil and the flavor is amazing. I have been getting TONS of liquid and condensation in my top cap though still. I haven't had any issues though with it leaking out on my mod like you guys have been talking about thankfully.

I will get some liquid around the bottom o-rings and the metal around there but it stays on the atty, never really leaks out onto my mod.

Thank goodness my drip tip protrudes into the top cap though, if not, this atty would be on the shelf lol. That protrusion is just enough to hold back all the wetness that I'm not drinking my ejuice.

So, here is my the best build I have used on my Freakshow mini so far! It's twisted 24gauge wrapped 5 times around a 3/32 drill bit in dual coil mode. It has cut down on spit back dramatically and the flavor is great! I will be using 26 gauge for my next rendition of this build. The one shown ohmed at .13, which is fine, but the drip tip can't quite sit all the way down because of how big the coils are lol. I hope this helps! I was very generous with the wicking too.

Minimal condensation on the top cap as well!

Buying the compcap when it is released! I believe vapor dna has it, or will have it soon. That being said, pulling the drip tip up has worked well! The O's rings do not show signs of melting. My main concern is the Delrin insulator lol. Thanks for your concern! I'll stay safe.

I just looked up the compcap on vapordna, looks like a great accessory for the price. I like the relaxed vape on my FS mini with the single, so I'm not sure if I would need the extra air, but for the price it's worth a shot.

I have a few drip tips that will not work on the FS mini due to it coming in contact or close to the posi post, that doesn't cause a serious issue since I just know not to use them, but I like the idea of the wide bore attached to eliminate the possibility completely. Assuming the tip is comfortable and the coils are the right size not to melt the delrin I'll get one. I'm also not the biggest fan of the skeleton, not saying the project subohm logo isn't edgy either.

I'm the exact opposite! I think the vapordna logo is ugly as sin lol. The Skelaton is fine, not very intrusive at all. I'm right there with you on the compcap. I'm going to keep looking for tips though, because I do prefer a tight draw most of the time. The cap doesn't look terrible though.... just not classy. You know? lol

The wide bore tip takes away the whole idea of lower volume, relaxed vape I am looking for in the atty. Still as an inexpensive accessory I can see it proving useful if I wanted to change things up a bit.

I get the whole "looking classy" thing. I have my FS mini on a SMPL from AMOD to complete the small package look. The wide bore brings it away from that.

This is very true! A lot of juice can end up pooling in the top of the grub screws, especially on the center post while dripping through the top cap's 510. No matter what build you have, in this scenario you will end up with mouthful (okay maybe not a mouthful lol) of juice getting sucked up the drip tip.

Do a search for "Vape Stash Talon". Unfortunately, he isn't making this design anymore, but there seem to be a few sites with stock in reserve. Perfect fit for the Freakshow or any bottom airflow designs.

I've been super busy with work and haven't had time to tinker so I've been forced back onto my subtank mini but hopefully in the next days I can play around some with builds.

Hi Spizzel, slow doesn't mean less. You can inhale slowly but long inhale. I think what you did is inhale hard but short inhale.
