Does anyone know what happened to Freds Custom Creations bullet button covers? He was on Facebook, now I can't find him anymore. I want one so bad, but he doesn't seem to be on FB anymore. Does anyone have a ph number for him or know if he's still around? Thanks Reonauts!

He does hope to resume production, but he did not say when.

is this a bullet casing button cover, like so?

if so they are fairly simple to make. I made this one for my "hunter orange" mod.

I was thinking about cutting some shells down, stuffing them with JB weld, drilling a hole and sanding them flush. It can't be that hard to make a shell case button cover...

Drill press, cut off wheel and disc sander. 45 acp brass has a lot of material at the head so no need for a delrin insert

ETA: this button ended up being almost identical dimensions of oem aluminum button.

I had a broken set of vise grips. I cut the knob off and drilled a hole in the center of it. It was just small enough to not look ridiculous. It's temporarily lost at the moment but it'll show up again
