I know we have all seen these free starter kits before, Perfect for noobs who want to try an e-cig , now alot of people are saying that after you purchase the free kit ( I say purchase because there is a 0.01$ fee for shipping) they start you on a monthly plan, i dont know if it is true or not but i just bought one for a friend using a pre paid visa just incase there is some monthly charge.

The kit comes with 6 cartomizers (Equal to 12 packs of cigarettes)

There is ALWAYS a catch... you just have to wait to find out... good call on the prepaid.

$3 a carto , or you can pick a monthly package.... :?:
And their nic % thing is a bit of a throw off
my math: regular nic = 16mg, Low = 8mg

it looks like a 510 clone/relabel, nothing special.

After looking at the refill cartomizer pricing and the battery replacements etc... it could well be free and they just hope people return and buy the overpriced items from them. The kit really only has one battery, chargers and 6 cartomizers... once you get it you'll tire of recharging every hour and return to buy more items. $2 a carto, $15 a battery, it could turn a profit. They only sell cartos as a refill plan and the smallest refill plan is 5 cartos a month for $15. Many people would likely think they need to get the bigger 10/15 carto plans and end up on a subscription for more cartos than they need. I think the free kit is bait if it is truly free.

I noticed this in the fine print.....
"You will receive 15 more refills and be billed $31.90 every 30 days thereafter. You can cancel at any time by providing a 30 day notice."

That sounds like the info I was looking for (when something's too good to be true....)..... but where in Sam Hill did you find that? I hunted and hunted and could find no "fine print" terms for this offer.

-edit-
That $31.90 is the exact cost of their "platinum membership" which gives you 15 refills/mo (product and shipping combined for 31.90 total)
But I found no info indicating that ordering the kit obligates you to agree to a membership. Tho even so, I'm much too paranoid to try this...

I couldn't find it either in regards to the free kit... but it is correct for the platinum membership after adding the $4.95 shipping charge.

AHA! Found it.....

Here's the info on the product page..... go right to the bottom (replace [DOT] with . to visit link)
www[DOT]victoryecigs[DOT]com/product_p/freestarterkit1.htm

So the bottom line on this offer is that it'll set you back $0.01 + $31.90 for a total of $31.91
And you'll get the kit and 15 more refills 30 days later....
and to avoid more charges, you MUST provide written cancellation 30 in advance.... which would be prior to the dispatch of the refills (not the receipt of, or I'm betting it's too late...)

And how do you submit written cancellation? mail? email? We already know the 1-888 doesn't work here, at least not in BC....

oh.... and no response yet, though it's only been 45 mins...

I noticed in the membership details the cancellation has to be by email.

Edit: No Strings Attached
Memberships are Month to Month ( You have the option to cancel at any time providing a 30 day notice.) by emailing info@victoryecigs.com

If i payed using a prepaid visa can they still somehow bill me every month to my house adress?

It is possible... they could go after you with a debt collection agency and then you are forced to pay or your credit will suffer. Though you could try to argue that just because it was delivered to that address doesn't mean you were the person who signed onto the agreement... but if they use a debt collection agency, you'd be better off paying it than fighting for months and then having to fight with the credit agencies to correct the rating. If you already signed up I would contact the email address and put in your request to cancel the membership just in case... at least you could minimize the risk that way.

That internet address is not the same page as what you get if you follow the link in the OP's original post and click on the "Redeem you free starter Kit"... it is the same except that the OP"s link doesn't include the added text "You will receive 15 more refills and be billed $31.90 every 30 days thereafter. You can cancel at any time by providing a 30 day notice. "

Does that mean the OP's deal will not contain a subscription, who knows... I wouldn't put any faith in that. They could claim it was on the other main link and you should have known. I wouldn't attempt to redeem this deal.

P.S: Coincidentally, I had had an apparent spyware infection(Topic Torch) last week that added a toolbar to the bottom of my browser, very discrete and I almost didn't notice it. Then I started getting redirected to surveys with "free" reward products. I read up and it was a subscription scam and people were having a hard time cancelling subscriptions. What made me clue in that the redirects were from a virus, and find the toolbar, was that reputable sites like CBC or Futureshop were giving me these redirects to the surveys and product offers(only cost was shipping). I couldn't believe those sites were allowing these fraudsters to take their patrons for a ride. If it seems to good to be true, it probably (99% of the time) is too good to be true.
