Both are great tanks! The FreeMax Starre Pro goes through a lot of juice though, even with a .5ohm Kanthal coil. The Uwell Crown is also a great tank, and at .5ohms it doesn't go through as much juice! What are you looking for? Taste, Vapor Production etc.
Also are you using Temp Control?

I had to make the same decision. Actually after watching many reviews on youtube I narrowed it down to the same 2 choices. I ordered the Crown but haven't received it yet. Maybe LR40K will give us his review since he will have both. I decided to go with the Crown because they have a .15 ohm Ni200 coil and I was purchasing a temp control mod as well.

Thanks for the replies! I am looking for a solid balance of flavor and vapor, which is why I narrowed it down to these 2. I am also upgrading to the Snow Wolf v1.5 when I get this tank so I am doing temp control. I will still use the kanthal coils they include because I know temp control goes through juice faster. Which tank goes through juice faster in general?

I have a Maganus (.2 coil) which is the same as the starre but with a slightly larger coil diameter and I love it. She is my daily driver, hits like a truck, and drinks the juice like one too. I just carry a tiny bottle with extra juice and I'm good to go. You won't be disappointed with it if you decide to purchase it. Can't speak for the crown because I don't own one but it seems to be pretty good.

I have the Original SnowWolf, both tanks come with a .15ohm Ni200 coil for TC, when the Starre Pros just released a lot of people had leaking issues(some were the tank, some were the user) FreeMax Starre Pro Tank | E-Cigarette Forum

Mine didnt leak at all for me.
As for which ones drink Juice faster, the Starre Pro does. You should really look at the original Starre tank aswell, doesnt have top fill but you can put a Ni200 coil in it..

I am lucky enough to be playing with the Crown, the Starre (not the pro) and the Herakles. Plus I have the Aspire Triton and the Sigelei Elite. On all 5 I am using the kanthal coils at either .5 or in the case of the Triton .4 and the Herakles .6. Have not played with TC yet cause still deciding on which box to use for TC. Triton and Elite can and should use a mid range box as they both give nice flavor and decent vape at around 30 watts. The 3 big boys Crown, Starre and Herakles love power. These guys don't give impressive flavor or clouds until you hit at least 60 watts. Love them all, but if I had to make a choice and get rid of all, I would keep the Crown, it is that good. If I really really wanted to save juice I would turn the power down, but that is just not happening --- Happy vaping

I have the Starre Pro and the Crown...you really can't go wrong with either. Flavor wise I'd give the edge to the Crown just slightly and vapor production is about equal. The flavor on the Crown's .25 SS coil just pops...I've been running Philip Rocke Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream in it and the juice has never tasted better. I wouldn't want to be without either of them, but I'd still give a slight edge to the Crown. That said, I have another one of each in shopping carts now since I've built 3 DNA200s with have another one being built. The extra's that come with the Crown make it a better value, but both are exceptional. I'll never go back to a bottom fill tank.

Played with both the Crown and the new Starre Pro for just a few days now. Nothing special, just normal coils at .25 with wattage. For me the Starre is just a sliver better in flavor than the Crown. I really enjoy both and would replace either if something happened to them. Clouds and performance are both equal for me.

Construction and function wise I prefer the Crown though. The two things I don't like with the Starre, that I knew about before buying it, are the proprietary drip trip and that on/off switch on the top cap. I don't think anyone would be wrong getting either. If you can only get one I wouldn't sweat it, for me at least, the difference in taste/performance is really close.

Have both for a week or so now.

Hands down. Taste, airflow smoothness, build quality, across dif stock coils; Crown. Very unhappy with my FMS pro; leaks no matter what I do with it. Crown has yet to leak at all.

Really disappointed. Expected more from the FMS pro based on reviews. I'm thinking off offing it to someone and going after one of those fancy black crowns (or... Herakles:p) - Alan

i own the Crown and two Starre Pros...

first off, there are no kanthal coils for the Crown, there is one ni200 coil available and the rest are stainless steel...

The Starre Pro has two different ni200 coils available and can also use every other Freemax Starre coil along with any Atlantis/Trton style coil...

the difference in performance between the two is barely worth noting, both produce stunning flavor and respectable clouds. the Crown has slightly better airflow unless you open up the tip on the Starre Pro, which does hinder flavor. as far as juice consumption goes, the Starre Pro is a guzzler with the ni200 coils, haven't tried it with the kanthal coils. th Crown is a not quite as bad with the ni200 coils, but guzzles like crazy with the .25 ohm ss coils.

fit and finish on the Starre Pro is good, fit and finish on the Crown is flat out excellent.

the Crown is extrememly user friendly, it's easy to fill, easy to break down, and easy to clean. the Starre Pro is a real bear, if you don't fill it correctly, you will loose all of you juice through the airflow. there is a vent hole in the top cap and you turn the collar that the drip tip sets it to open or close it. the cap is marked with an arrow and the on/off positions. basically, to fill, you gotta close the airflow, take off the top cap, fill, and (here is the part you gotta remember) when you go to screw the cap back on, make sure the vent hole is open/in the on position, as soon as you've screwed the cap completely on, switch the vent hole to the off position... this should take care of any leaking issues... the Starre only breaks down to a point, the chimney section and top cap/air vent control cannot be taken apart making them a little harder to clean...the Crown never leaks unless it's incredibly hot and outside, it's in you pocket, and the juice thins way out...

sorry for the long post, just wanted to give my opinions on what are, IMHO, the two best sub ohm tanks there are... i've owned the Zephyrus, Subtank Mini, SMOK TCT and VCT A1, and the Atlantis V1 for comparison...

oh yeah, you can put any 510 drip tip on the Crown, if you wanna use a different tip on the Starre Pro, it's going to have to be a log stem one to block off the airflow holes...
