Every time now that I use a freshly recharged battery be the auto 510 or the manual KGO I get a burnt almost plastic taste but then it's fine later on :?:

It also doesn't matter if it's a fresh new cart or one that has been refilled or already in use up until I had to recharge

This only happens when I hook up a battery that just finished charging.

Anyone else experiencing this, any way to fix this since you can't prime a battery... well I don't think you can prime a battery.

Am I supose to let it sit a little while before I use it.. no idea here

I get the same thing after any Ego clone battery i.e. riva and other ego type batt's. I actually take the battery off the charger and with out a cart hold it and push the button for 10 secs at a time for a few mins. I posted in another forum last night asking if a vv device like the lave tube would be better to start out below the voltage what me ego clone batt's are starting out at. From my understanding a batt like the riva freshly charged is gunna be around 4.1 to 4.2 volts, which is to high for me. Now I dont know where me sweet spot is all I know is that it is lower than that, otherwise I get that harsh as hell burnt taste from any type of carto's or tanks. Another alternative to a 60$ Lavatube with vv and you can start out lower voltage...or a ego type batt is the new vv ego-c twist, we the voltage goes from 3.2 to 4.8 in .2 volt increments. I think I'm gunna give that a try, I think batt's are gunna be around $30 for the ego-c twist. Any higher in $$$ i'm getting a lavatube and a mini lavatube. The ego-c twist is supposed to be out next month, maybe worth a try before investing into a more $$$ vv device. For now I think thats my only choice to get around 3.4-3.6 volts to avoid the lung burning harsh hits from a fresh charged batt. Another alternative maybe a genuine joyetech ego batt that is regulated at 3.2 volts and should avoid that harsh hit. I'm still seeking answers my self. Let me know if you come across any other alternatives.

My other thought is that if an ego clone batt like the riva or kgo come off the charger at 4.2 volts, but under initial load come down to 3.7 volts tells me the same thing, 3.7 is still to harsh for me. Thats why a vv device like the ego c twist or vv lavatube will allow me to dial in 3.4 to 3.6 to start and avoid that initial lung hit from hell. Another thing I do to vape on a fresh batt is to add a few drops into my vision stardust some 100% vg juice added to my 80/20 pg/vg juice. Luckily my 80/20 is chocolate lust from gv and the 100%vg is peanut butter so the flavor works for me. Either way let me know what ya find out.

Intuitively you wouldn't think .5 Volts would be a big deal, but the power(watts) output of the device goes up significantly at 4.2V off the charger vs 3.7V nominal since power is a function of the voltage squared. If your carto is 2 Ohm lets say, at 3.7V your device would be operating at around 6.5 Watts... same carto at 4.2V operates at about 8.8 Watts ... a 35% increase.

Changing batteries is always time to top up your carto ... top it right up wet as it can get. If you are switching off a dying battery, chances are you were puffing pretty hard on the near dead one. Take it easy on the new one until the voltage drops off. The discharge curve on LION batteries is such that they drop down from 4.2V to ~3.7V pretty quick so it won't take that long for it to drop.

It's been mentioned elsewhere that batteries need a cool down time after charging.
This might help the problem. Most battery failure happens the first hit off a freshly
charged battery with no cool down time.

Be careful unplugging from the charger and plugging it straight into your mouth.

Check out the battery safety thread if you haven't yet done so. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...9007-warning-rechargeable-batteries-mods.html

While it does mention "mods" they are speaking about rechargables.:vapor::vapor:
