I have a friend who has tried e-cigs and she has tried mine a few times... She says she doesn't like them because she gets this weird tingly filmy feeling in her throat (similar to a zinc lozenge) and she doesn't like that... I never noticed anything like that... Have any of you ever had that? And if so what did you do for it?

It depends on what juice you're using. Some people have a low tolerance, or even an allergy, to PG. I can only tolerate about 20% myself. Different juices have a different feeling and a different throat hit. What have you been using?
Also, most juice, especially those high in PG, have a tendency to dry out your throat. Some people are more sensitive to that than others. It could be a few things. My guess is that it's the juice, unless you're burning the fill or the plastic in a carto or a cartridge. That would definitely do it.

Im using a 70/30 pg/vg blend... She had the same experience when she was using tobacco shop models

IME, most of the pre-mixed juices are high like that in PG, usually about 50-70%. PG is thinner and aids in wicking, among other things. But, like I say, some people like me are fairly intolerant of it. It irritates my throat and sinuses if it's over 20%. Some e-juice vendors will let you specify a mix of VG and PG. I broke down and just make my own 80VG/20PG juice, but my advice is to find a lower PG juice. I know Alien juices are 100% VG, so that might be a good place to start. If that works, you can increase the PG to avoid the cons of using 100% VG and see what happens. The main drawback to 100% VG is that it gums up your coils a little faster and it doesn't wick as well, so it's not very good for cartos based on the CE2 where the juice has to wick a long distance up to the cup. Those things aren't that serious and can be overcome somewhat, (like thinning with water and/or alcohol), so it's worth it if PG bothers you.

Just to add another possible suggestion. When my son first tried ecigs, he said he didn't like them because they burned his throat. I finally asked him how he was inhaling. He was inhaling directly into his lungs.

Once I taught him to draw the vapor slowly into his mouth first and then inhale, he was sold. These are quite harsh if you try to hit them like a cigarette.

When smoking i always just drew into my mouth before i inhaled... she smokes the same way... and its not a burn but more like the coating from a zinc lozenge

That's a good point. Nuvene should ask her friend to describe the feeling a little more detailed. Trying to inhale directly into the lungs is definitely unpleasant, although I wouldn't describe it as a tingle.
