Hi there, I don't mean to sound too motherly or bossy, I just got over a nasty flu and have been a bit more cautious about keeping my drip tips clean, daily. I know this is easy to over look or just simply forget about so I just wanted to put this reminder in rotation.

vape on...:vapor:

Good advise. It is one of those things that can get overlooked.

Every time I refill (which is pretty often on the regular sized clearomizers) I clean out my drip tip with a cosmetic style cotton bud soak in vodka. I also give it a wipe over on the outside.

But I am guilty of using the same one for over a week (or two) at a time, which in retrospect just isn't good enough.

Thanks for the friendly clip up the back of the head, Mum :)

That is definitely a good idea, I mean if we think about:

1. how many times we put our mouth on the drip tip
2. how many times we grabbed it with our hands
3. how many times we dropped our device.
4. pockets, bag, or any other carrying method
5. laying, tipping on the table top
6. what ever settles while just sitting there waiting to be vaped.

oh no... I feel my OCD kicking in again..

I just ordered one of those small steam jet machines. The ones for cleaning hard to reach places with a jet steam tip. I figure that will sanitize my drip tips with tap water because I have been having the same thoughts as listed here about nasty germs and such. Might even be useful for cleaning my attys, worth a try on an old one at least.

I keep my mouthpiece by taking a sip of vodka before I put it in my mouth!

Isn't PG anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and anti-septic? It seems like germs would have a tough go of it around my mouthpieces and drip tips.

Cartridges and drip tips do get boiled and wiped down with alcohol around here fairly regularly, but I've never treated it as a big concern. I'm just happy about how fast I get over colds etc now that I don't smoke.

Yeah, i think PG is anti-microbial, as an alcohol type substance.

I'm bad, I take the opposite tack, don't wash things, don't use antibacterial soap, eat questionable foods, lick doorknobs (okay I made that one up). I figure with the immune system, if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger.

I probably get other people sick a lot, but I almost never get sick myself. =P
