I have been using a juul since the 1st of the year and was looking for a cheaper option juice wise so did some research and just ordered the Halo Triton. Kinda wondering if anyone else has done this switch. Juul has 50mg/ml nicotine and the highest Halo has is 24mg. I ordered the shamrock in the 24mg since I love Juuls chocolate mint flavor. I am just worried it won't be enough nicotine. Can I use other eliquid like vaporfi in the triton? They have 36 but felt their equipment was too pricey. Thanks!

howdy - and welcome!

going to let some others weigh in on this, as i have no experience with those devices, but 50mg/ ml sounds REALLY high, nic wise - i have to think those numbers are skewed somehow or the delivery system is really suboptimal... when i switched, i was using 18mg, 12mg juice in a nautilus tank... when i picked up an atlantis sub ohm kit, switched to 6mg... vaping 3mg now

Welcome.

If cost is a factor in your decision-making, Halo doesn't make a lot of sense. Cheaper than Juul, but more expensive than what we use.

The word 'Vaporfi' sets of a chain reaction of despair in my head if money is of any importance to anybody. All of it, the hardware, the liquids... the prices are 'off the planet'

Lots of small e-cigarettes offer liquid up to 50mg. This is because they don't make much vapor. 24mg in a Halo Triton is going to be some serious nicotine, so don't worry about that.

Juul is a unique product and special rules apply to unique products. (not always good rules, by the way).

I vape 12mg in my e-cig. I can (if I choose) vape <48mg in a disposable. I wouldn't even blink at 50mg if I am vaping at at 5 times less power than I am used to.

The pods of a Juul they say are .7 ml. I pay 18$ for a 4 pack locally, 16$ from their site. Anything is cheaper. Lol. They claim 59mg/ml and 5% nicotine. I am pretty content with it, just not the cost. So will 24mg be too much? They shipped within a half hour of my ordering so too late to switch now. But if it's not enough nicotine is there another chocolate mint brand you'd all recommend if not vaporfi?

Yes. Anything is cheaper. :)

That doesn't make it right for certain companies (not Halo) to charge $119 for a $29 e-cig... and for that company to take the same attitude to selling e-liquid, and spare atomizers. (read between the lines...)

Halo make nice juice. 24mg might be on the strong side but it'll keep you off the smokes, which is why we do what we do.
The last Halo juice I had was 18mg. Unfortunately, at first, I vaped it at too high power.
I used it up with an e-cig not dissimilar to the Triton. It was a lovely vape from start to finish.

I feel sure 24mg will be enough Nicotine. :)

Welcome to ECF, @Whitney518! Glad to have you here. I used a Halo Triton setup for several months before moving to glass tanks so I could use a Cinnamon Red Hot flavor that was melting the plastic Triton tanks. In fact, I still have a ton of old Triton tanks stashed away somewhere, and probably a bunch of old coils. As has already been mentioned, your new gear will probably deliver the nic much more efficiently so 24mg should work well for you, unless it turns out to be TOO high.

Package was received today. Tried it out and think I will be sticking to my Juul. Shamrock was so awful, nothing compared to the yum of Juuls coco mint which is what I was hoping for (based on reviews). Even smells awful, so much so I and others got a headache from that smell. Already inquired about returning the hardware. It came scratched up because it was all loose in the case which was also a disappointment. May be good, but not for me. Couldn't stand the taste long enough to even decide whether 24mg would work for me or not but seemed alright.
