Tripple digits half way to home
After using my new eGo twist with the included claro that the kind lady filled up at the shop where I got it. I got about half way through the juice that was in it and it quit. The heating element went out. I guess I had approximately 5 hours of vaping on it. Called the shop and they were kind enough to allow me to bring it back (48 hour warrenty.) Also found that the flavor I thought tasted so good at the shop started leaving a really strong after taste. It was peanut butter @ 24mg. I filled the second claro (I hope I'm learning the right terms for this) with a different flavor and lower strength 18mg. How many of the claro's should I have on hand? Going back to this shop is a extreme inconvience due to the milage I have to drive. Suggestions to help me out?

for a newbie, you can't beat the simplicity of a cartomizer without a tank. No leaks no cracking no burnt taste. & doesnt cause battery shorts. Get a 5-pack of Boge 2.0 LR cartomizers for about $7. This will work fine with your Twist. One cartomizer will last me a week.
Then you can vape while learning about the other stuff.
Vape on.

You will always need some back ups. The number of them depends on how many different flavors you have. I have 4 clearo's filled at any given time because I like to change flavors a lot and that is why I drip. Dripping is great if you want to flip flop flavors a lot. I have only been vaping for 4 months now so I learn something new every day. I take very good care of my equipment, cleaning it regularly and my clearo's lasted any where from 6-8 weeks. The amount you vape and how many flavors you have determine the amount of back ups you need.

Probably low res. then, sounded like you may have been burning them out.

Cartomizers can definitely be refilled! There's a couple methods of refilling posted on the forums and youtube (condom method and tilt/drip/twirl). They will eventually crap out though. Anything above the battery is considered "disposable" and life time will vary. I've had cartos die in a couple days, and some lasted weeks.

Bullette; can the cartomizer's be refilled?

yes cartomizers are basically the same thing as a clearomizer, with the exception they are in a stainless steel housing rather then the plastic of a clearo.

with regular cleanings mine usually last me months if they are the wicking style(ce#) if they are the polyfill that you drip drops of juice onto to fill i usually get a few days to a week then pitch them.

these are how i clean my wicking cartos/clearos:

As far as I know you can't rebuild Cartomizors.

If you buy enough of them you can get them for less than an buck a piece. Why would you even want to rebuild them?

In my opinion unless you enjoy tinkering with stuff you should look at all this stuff as disposable just like cigarettes were.

I see you're using a twist. What voltage are you using and what resistance are the clearos?

And as to how many spares you should have: More. Always more. You really c an't have too many, but you can definitely not have enough.

What Bullette and Recidivus said. There is somewhat of a learning curve on using the clearos and with so many out there of varying resistances and coil placements the cartomizers should keep you vaping and happy while you do your homework. Imo some of the clearos and dual coil stuff should be for more advanced users that understand the volt/ohm/amps relationship more than the average bear. There are posts after posts of users with problems wondering what went wrong. The twist comming on the scene wuzz a wonderful thing for newcommers to enjoy variable voltage simply. Boge 2.0 cartos are considered acceptable low resistance by most folks for batteries like the Ego as a starting point and work great on the twist. You can also use standard resistance, 2.4-2.6 and turn it up to achieve your "sweet spot". Boges last me anywhere from two days to two weeks each depending on what kind of juice I put in them and how high I crank them.

I like the idea of stainless steel over plastic. Can they be rebuilt like the vivi nova I got?

Just saw the part about the Vivi. Mine came in a box with three screw on heads of varying resistance 1.8 being the lowest and without looking I believe the other two are 2.4 and 2.8. If you got the other two heads find the 2.8 and try it. You may have to crank the voltage up but It should work ok. I'd still pick up the Boges. One of anything isn't enough when the excrement comes in contact with the blades of the rotating oscillator.
