I think that they DIY is your only solution.
BTW- 0000 is the finest steel wool & will only polish what you have. It's probably gonna take 00 - 0. Somewhere in there. Even 00 is very fine & might not be coarse enough to do the trick.
Too bad you can only experiment with that. I'd start with 00 & work your way up from there.

I would but..... Both of those tanks are plastic

If you are responding to me, the tape will protect the plastic.
The 320 grit sponge will not wear through the tape unless you get really aggressive with the pressure you apply. It really doesn't take much pressure, just let the pad do all the work.

The T2 came out so well that I had to tinker with my Nemesis a little bit.
Couldn't bring myself to do the whole thing though.

If you're going to use any metal wool on those tanks, use SS wool. Tiny particles of regular steel wool can ingrain itself in to that stainless and oxidize (rust) over time. Any time you're brushing or polishing stainless steel, use stainless steel wool.

Personally though... A fresh dry red scotch brite pad would likely yield the results you're looking for.

New red Scotch Brite pad even better...
