Just a week-ish ago I made the decision to finally get a ego-style ecig. I had initially been dead set on a simple ego style battery, no VV or VW or anything. When I came here for advice, it seemed like EVERYONE was pushing me towards a VV ego battery, saying that it performs better, and it gives me room to experiment and try other stuff. Looking back, it was funny how stubborn I was, saying that I just want a ecig, not some fancy ... gadget. But everyone was just saying VV is really something I should look into, and I'm thankful I relented.

Having played around with my ego twist and spinner, i LOVE the whole VV business. I get flavors and vapors I didn't even think of. And now, as everyone rightfully pointed out, i am itching to try something else.
(lesson learnt:
1) advice on ECF are best followed. I'm so glad i did
2) for newbies, don't kid yourself. Your current or next kit isn't gonna be the last one. You can keep telling yourself that's all you need... but somehow those fingers always always end up on the "Add To Cart" button. Always.)

In any case, this time, I wanna get a mod that's VV/VW! I've been doing my usual stalking, and I've pretty much set my mind on a MVP v2 (it's only 45 bucks on fasttech!). But having learnt my lesson, I decided to pop by here and get some opinions before I take the plunge:

1) hows the MVP v2 for a beginner vv/vw mod? I'm thinking this is gonna be my next "big step", and after that I'm gonna just flat out be disciplined and save up for something in the provari range. I've been deciding between the MVP v2, the SVD, VTR and even the Tesla, but the MVP stands out for the functionalities and unbeatable price.

2) How are box mods? Im really used to holding a long rod in my hands, so I'm actually quite concerned if a squarish box thing would just feel weird in my hand.

3) I'm also very worried about the structural integrity of a tank on it. I know this doesn't make much sense, but I feel absolutely safe leaving my evod+spinner in my pocket. But the look of a tank on a square mod looks. i don't know. VERY breakable. is that a legitimate concern or am i just being paranoid

4) 45 bucks from fasttech, free shipping... is this legitimate? Most online places i'm seeing sell em for approx 60 (discountvapor, myvaporstore for e.g.)

Again, HUGE thanks to ECF, and I hope I get a ton of useful feedback like before!:2cool:

I think that you would love the MVP! It lasts for days, and has many very useful functions besides the v/w mode. Also, you may get interested in building coils later, so the resistence meter is handy for that. I couldn't be happier with mine. :) 101vapes is super fast on shipping, and seems to be the ongoing best deal.

I bought an MVP 2 for my first device and I love it. Lasts well over a day on a full charge and I chain vape for hours later in the day. I got mine for a little over $40 on ebay as 101vapes was out of stock at the time :( . Still was a great deal and for the price, I couldn't ask for a nicer device. I wasn't sure if I'd like the box shape at first but it is not awkward at all to use and is actually pretty small, fits perfect in my hand.

For the next day or so you can get one for $38.99 here: https://vaporbank.com/shop/index.php?p=product&id=2274
Can also use promo code redditshipping for 50% off shipping and you also get a free 7ml sample bottle of juice though I'm not sure how good it is.

Just moved from an eGo-T Upgrade 1000, (my first choice a few months back) to the eGo-C Upgrade 1000 last night...so yeah...I can see me going forward but I really have no interest (at the moment) in becoming a dragon vapor. Obviously still wet behind the wings. ;)

I do see the value in joining a group like this and agree the information gleaned from different perspectives is all part of the learning curve.

haha that was exactly what I was telling myself too. but as I went on vaping, I started trying out different tanks and clearos I realized the improvements in performance not just in vapor production (not my number 1 priority. I'm more into flavor and throat hit) but in other areas too. Messing around with VV makes me realize how with all the different juice I have (currently at 20+ little bottles hehehe :D ), they all perform best at different settings. Not to mention my tanks are now a healthy mix of stock 2.2 ohms, 2.5 ohms, and in between from my DIY recoils. That's when I realize that having VW would make the world of a difference. I don't have to keep peeking at the resistance/voltage chart anymore. Plus having a built in ohms checker is just bomb.

I used to think that heck, why the hell does everyone take all these SO seriously? all these numbers and rebuilding and yada. But then I realize that with all the money spent already + money saved from not buying stinkies + health recovered, why not add a solid enjoyable experience into the mix.

In any case, you're definitely gonna be upgrading soon. Promise you :p

LOL I must be the anomaly. I have a TC Vapes e-Go style battery with a $9 bottom fill tank and I'm completely happy with it. I get reasonable throat hit with most of my juices, it has a pass thru so I can vape and charge or vape in the car plugged in, I can pop it in my pocket and it doesn't take up tons of room, and I'm not going to get up in arms if I lose it or break it. Especially considering how my VV e-Go Twist made every. single. juice. I. owned taste burnt and/or burn the snot out of my throat, no matter what tank/wick/coil I used, if I used it at anything above 3.2. And THEN it broke 3 months later. Completely fell apart. Hadn't ever been dropped or mistreated, just the part where the button is, detached from the rest of the battery and completely disintegrated.

Totally unimpressed with the entire experience.

I've never tried anything "better" so I could be missing out and not know it, but I'm happy with what I have and it cost me $25.

Soon is a relative term, inofat, so I expect your comment has merit. I'm more busy upgrading (mixing) my juices as I'm more into the taste and throat hit...have about 30 10ml and 30ml bottles (I don't throw anything out) and half have new labels with my own approximate measurements.

Like my cooking no batch tastes the same as the last...but it's all good...left overs and bad batches get reincorporated. I s'pose I will have to go to a "sterile lab" environment eventually and inevitably the metric system and electronics, heat and viscosity will become second nature.

No promises though, learned I'm tough on myself trying to keep them so I keep those to getting everything out on recycling day and never taking another puff of smoke for now...but I hear ya. :toast:

Im currently vaping with the innokin vv 3, i like the device but its not producing enough vapor for me, as you can tell i was a heavy smoker, any suggestions, i looking into mechanical mods or vv/vw mods but not sure if vv/vw mods will satisify me!
