...about what to do. I bought my Provari at the end of April 2012, and it was all good until a couple of weeks ago. It would suddenly stop firing. I'd get a few hits, then nothing. Any of the following would allow me a few more hits until again...nothing:
1) Cleaning the female 510 well
2) Turning the unit off, then on again.
Nothing is loose; nothing rattles. Well, nothing was loose, until I tried the recommendation to stretch the spring a bit...it popped out and has been out since. Nothing led up to this; my Provari just stopped firing on demand.
I've read every (yes, EVERY) post which may have had anything remotely to do with my symptoms, and have tried all suggestions (which have cost me additional money to accomplish, i.e. fiberglass pen, Noalox, etc.). After doing the recommended alcohol rinse, all I have to show for it is a lonely droplet of alcohol sitting on the inside lens of my display...insult to injury, I tell ya. Not one recommendation has solved the problem, and at this point, I just want it out of my sight until it functions as it should.
What may be the saddest part is that my much less expensive variable-voltage PV which I've had twice as long hasn't missed a beat. Thank goodness I have it.
*UPDATE*
After a second alcohol bath and a nice overnight drying out, my baby has been resuscitated. I'm happy and relieved. I have no idea how any juice got inside the unit, as careful as I've been about it. I'm just glad it's working again.
