I ordered the Safecig probably because I saw the reviews for people wanting to push it themselves to make a buck. Ordered it nearly a week ago and paid extra for 2-3 day shipping.... STILL NOTHING... ...... OFF! I am anxious to start vaping instead of smoking a pack and a half of the analog American Spirits... But I am frustrated here still a virgin.. Never had a first hit off an e cig. The Safecig customer service is garbage... emailed them with no follow up.
I am looking for a nice vapor ecig... I guess I wont mind filling something with drops as long as there is not too much high maint. in doing so.
I am looking for some recommendations or advice... Heck if there was a company where I could order the thing next day I would pay for it...
Thanks for reading

Welcome to ECF! I think it would be best for you to first watch these:

Mistress Nomad's Videos for Newbies

After you have watched those, think about how much you smoke on a daily basis. That will help determine what kind of PV will get you started off on the right foot. If you only smoke a half a pack or less, you might be happy with a KR808 or a basic 510 kit. If you smoke a pack or more, you might want to consider a Riva or an eGo kit because they are bigger batteries and will last a longer time between charges.

Sorry things are a bit rocky at the start frenchdude, but hopefully they will get better quickly!
You'll need a few more posts to get out of newbie jail, but you certainly can peruse the suppliers section on here to read about any vendor specials...
As for a rig, I will recommend a Riva or eGo - if your preference is for a more slim-line cigarette type, a 808/901 or 510 model would be the next suggestions, however the more "cig-like" an e-cig is, the less satisfactory the battery life and general vaping experience is... or can be...

I have been vaping for about 2 1/2 - 3 months now. I still have not gotten off anaglogs completely. I smoked 2 packs a day and im down to about 10 or less a day. It will probably take you a little while to find the right mix that works for you. I use the kr808d-1 and I have finally found a great mix as far as battery, cartomizer and juice. If you want something that feels like a cig then go with the kr808d-1. Everyone talks about battery life, but the battery life isnt bad on these (manual kind) and I have the pcc (personal charging case). It is wonderful, always have a charged battery and 2 extra cartos ready to go. It is well worth the 20 bucks for the pcc, I love mine. Also, I tried to quit a year ago with an ecig, got a crappy one and gave up on them within 2 days. Now that I have the kr and getting through the learning curve, I know this is going to get me off analogs for good. Word of advice, don't worry about quiting analogs immediately. Take your time, learn the curve, find what works for you, no need to rush anything. You will still be smoking less and it will get to where you reach for the ecig because it just taste better and it's not a pain because it don't stink and it don't drop ashes everywhere. Good luck and be kind to yourself, it's a process and you'll figure out what works for you.

I think the the model that they are selling seems to resemble a 2 piece 510 or it at least looks like it hast that type of connection. I've never used their product before but if you search the forum's list of vendors you'll be able to find a lot of the 510 models at a lower price and the cartomizer packs are cheaper too. I usually get my cartomizers for around 9 dollars for a pack of 5. I usually get the empty cartomizer and fill it with my own juice. I use the 902 from modern vapor and I use the cartomizer from modern vapor too, but I like to get my LR510 cartomizer from ecigexpress. the 902 from modern vapor is compatible with the 510 model. I know that this forum has a ton of information, maybe even to much information for someone who is new to ecig. I believe that your choice of cartomizer is the best starting point for new vapors. That's my 2 cents.

Wow.. appreciate the info... thanks to all... I had no idea there was so much info... For me it doesnt have to be the same size as a cig... I am looking for the big vapor and I am at a computer all day so the passthrough could be cool. I will see how things go... My reasoning to get on the ecig is because analogs are not good for me... stink... burn holes.. ashes ... smell.. my wife is a non smoker.. etc etc.. So I am hopeful and looking forward to being analog free

The safecig is a 4081 and the battery isn't bad... it's average. The cartomizers that they come with are good, you should be able to refill them several times before they burn up. I started with 10 cartos and still have 7 left after close to 2 months. I won't be purchasing any more supplys from safecig now that I learned that's it's better to buy "generic" parts.

And they are slow to ship... sorry

If a pass thru would work for you, it's very easy to try almost anything in any combination.
Get a good manual pass thru and adapters to go from the threading on your pass thru
to 510, 801, 901 or whaterver combo you need. Good Prophets has 99 cent adapters, and you can try any atty or carto to find what works for you.
PV Adapters
Then get a kit to fill out whatever model has the vapor and flavor you like best.

About the only time I'm not in front of a computer is when I'm either sleeping or out running around town. I work for a database repository firm and I'm a geeky computer/database/gamer girl. I have two USB PT's now. One is just a standard 510 and the other is 5V 510. They're a godsend for someone like me! Dirt cheap, work like a charm and the vapor is fantastic!
