Thanks everyone.

Rhapsodies Fire - I've heard that metallic taste can be signs of a medical problem, but I honestly feel like this has something to do with not smoking analogs / vaping. If it doesn't stop, then I'll definitely talk to a doctor about it!

Dormouse - Is there a place you recommend that sells liquids that can be ordered to my liking? So I can mix the pg and vg? Thanks

By the way, I got my liquidxpress order about 20 min ago and popped in a prefilled carto of the Cool Rush.... WOW, cool rush is the right name for it. Not sure how I feel about it actually, but if anything the menthol is blocking out the metallic taste! I then tried the Original tobacco but I could only taste the Cool Rush still in my throat.

Yes - try FreedomSmokeUSA.com and code freedomsmokeusa usually gives 10% off. Not all of their flavors are available as $2.25 samplers and the sampler size is fixed 24mg nic and fixed PG/VG. But in their normal sections (smallest size $4) you can find all of their flavors, your choice of nicotine, and almost all in a range of PG/VG ratios. (Some fruity flavors are a fixed 50/50). One of my favorites is their oRYental 4 which is their sweet RY4 (a vanilla caramel tobacco. And BTW their normal RY4 is hardly sweet and a darker taste). And I got their Almond Pleasure which I tasted briefly (saving that for my step down to 12mg but it tasted good)

And this weekend Velvet Vapors is supposed to reopen and I love some of their juices I've in their Velvet PG/VG blend. My faves so far are their Vanilla Almond Tobacco (basically their version of a 555 tobacco but not real nutty like some 555's are. Theirs is rich sweet vanilla with a bit of almond and some TH). And their Raspberry Ginger Ale seems like vaping the real thing (I would recommend a separate carto or cart for that since Ginger is a flavor that sticks around for a while). I know someone that loves ones of their Mochas too.

I don't mean to sound like an alarmist, but metallic taste in your mouth even when just drinking water can be a sign of a medical issue. I think you should see your physician. It might be a simple mineral imbalance or it could be something much worse. Just my 2 cents! I hope you find out what's happening! *worried*

I hope that it is a combo of quitting analogs, and adjusting to vape, mineral imbalance etc... but if the problem persists, I have to agree a quick check with the Doc might be a good idea. JMO..Best of Luck

After years and years of medic experience, I can't tell you how many medical conditions come with the metallic taste symptoms. I'm glad someone finally mentioned it. Post 19 was the winner. My best friend complained of this for 4 weeks before going to see a Dr. Diagnosis = Type 2 diabetes. Metallic taste results of excessive - dangerously high blood sugar levels. So, don't mess around if unsure of something. Our body can only tell us so much and if we ain't listening, or just ignoring it, someone is likely to pay the price.

Good luck.

I dont know if it is necessarily a good thing if taste bud adjusts after quitting analogs....

I am on day 11 and love ry4, I have ordered lots and lots and lots of this juice, I do mean lots.... So if my taste buds later decides they dont like ry4, i will not be very happy....

I say this every day, I taste and smell things..that I didn't before, and thats not always a good thing. :) We will hope that your ry4 remains a fav, for a very long time. Otherwise you can always look to trade some for something else, there are threads for that...but I will have to find the links.

Trust me, i have lots i need to sell, I am just waiting for the day i can say for sure.. I have found "it", that will be the time to write my for sale classified.

I suspect if I am experiencing the same thing as the OP. As I say, I love ry4, sometimes it tastes so wonderful. But other times I am like, hmmmm, why does it taste like this. And everytime it doesnt taste right, being a newbie, i have no idea why.... Is it my carto, is it bad juice, is it my leftover taste from other juice, or is it my taste buds?!? So much unknowns, so much variables, so confusing.....

I'm going to agree with Roscoe's post earlier. A lot of things can cause the taste, 99.9% are probably benign and can be traced back to your recent change of habits. But, if you haven't visited your GP in a while, it might not be a bad idea to get your yearly labs done. There are numerous medical conditions that could cause this. I wouldn't get overly concerned though, as the coincidence between quitting the analogs and getting the taste at the same time is interesting. Stay away from the analogs at all cost though. The clinical improvements that have already occured in your body and lungs from the lack of daily smoke inhalation should already be very noticeable to you, and will only continue to improve.

*UPDATE*

I just wanted to update everyone on my situation here. The day after I posted this I noticed that the metallic taste wasn't as strong. It's now seem to have pass. I'm pretty sure it was my taste buds because I am noticing that things are tasting different.

I use to have to have an analog first thing when I'd wake up, even before brushing my teeth. NOW I have to brush my teeth before I can even vape. My water taste different and even smells different (I can smell and taste the minerals which I never could before) and I'm noticing that I can smell the perfume I wear almost all day where before I always felt that it wore off.

Soon you'll be able to smell cigarette smokers a mile away. You'll notice the lingering stench of cigarettes when you're in the supermarket. It hit me like a ton of bricks last week. Because of that stench I know I will never have a cigarette again in my life. How embarrassing to smell like that !!
