I've been here for 3 months (I thhink), but I'm still a newb...and right now I am so frustrated b/c I want to use a PT to save batt life while I'm in this forum for hours at a time:laugh: - so much to learn, so little time!
I have 3 PT's, an automatic battery-in-line 510, a manual battery-in-line 510 and a KR808D-1 automatic (no battery-in-line). I have tried to use all three with a wall charger/USB connector - with no luck. I don't want to use a PT with my computer cuz my computer is older. Could anyone help? What do I need to use a PT connected to a wall charger? The plug-in is w/i reach while I'm at the computer. (I think I read once that PT's have to be plugged in for awhile before use?) Thanks for any help you can give m, even if it means I have to buy yet another PT.

Someday I hope to mod a juice-fed box - that's prob way in the future.

For most PT, you have to have a charger that has an output of 1000mA or more. Some of the battery models could run a bit lower. A lot of the wall chargers only have 200mA and are only for charging. Go to WalMart and check out what they have. Be sure the ouput is 1000mA or more.

Edit: Just re-read what you said earlier and if the batteries are totally dead in the two 510 Pt, they won't work. You might try leaving time plugged in charging for an hour or so and try them again. Once the battery is charged those two should work with just about any wall wart.
