Okay, I heard about these electronic Cigarettes about 2 weeks ago and thought it sounded great. Not sure if I would like them or not I shopped around and found one of the cheaper starter kits I could find. The model number is SKE8084C and it says Smoking Anwhere on the box and SKG on the side. They arrived yesterday and I have tried this thing over a hundred times and cant much vapor at all. I put in a high cartridge and suck until I about passout and only a small amount of vapor comes out and I get almost zero feeling or taste. I have had many health problems from smoking and need to quit bad but cant. Did I just buy a cheap ripoff that doesnt work or is there something I dont know. I even read to put tape over the holes and that doesnt work. Any advice would be appreciated.

i would highly recomend a 901
it is what i used to stop smoking
the best price i found is @ ruyan direct
the second best was @ vapor station
ruyan direct is in china china and will take over a week to arrive
vapor station in in the us , i have not ordered from them but i will in the future

With the 901 does it give a lot of vapor and actually somewhat taste like a cigarette

I bought a similar e-cig at first. You are right they aren't very good. But I did get vapor from mine, I just got two puffs of it before it quit for a couple of minutes! After a few days it started working better though. I think there must be a break in point. But the batteries didn't last long.
In the e-cig world smaller is not better! I went to a 901 and I like it much better.
Most of the people on this board "moved up" to a better e-cig. Look around and see what is out there. Yes they a are a bit pricier, but worth it in the end. Among the top sticky posts on the newcomer page is one that shows a lot of the types..gives you an idea what is availible.
Welcome to the ECF. I am sure more people will be alone to talk to you.

Yes just put a new one in

Did you get pre-filled carts or blank carts? If pre-filled have you checked to make sure that the filler is wet?

901s are good but no PV tastes like a real cigarette. Vaping is a much cleaner way of obtaining the nicotene that we all crave because of analogs.

first: yes i get a good amount of vapor , good hit, good taste
second: depends on the juice you order,
i used the Marlboro juice at first didn't much taste like Marlboro the camel juice tasted similar
but after a couple of tries and different liquids im stuck on the taboo / ry4 good taste good hit and satisfies my smoking urges

It was pre filled. As for the wet part not sure, it almost looks like vasoline

I have one of those models and its sounds like your may be doing something a bit off. There are a few videos here that can help show you how to "draw" on an e-cig. Its not the same as a cigarette.
I have that model and get a good amount of vapor. I would also suggest getting it to work before plunking more money down on something else- thats considering its working, of course. You may have a bad atomizer, or the batteries may not be fully charged yet.
I am using the rn4081 exclusively as I research my next purchase, which I can take my time learning my options, etc. Its a good cig to learn on.
Check out the vids, see if it will perform better. Worse case, buy something else. Or, if they have a return policy, just return it asap and get something else. the 510s seem popular, but there are a million (it seems) options. Make sure what you get will work for your situation.

If you want a device that comes the closes to the real thing and gives you consistent vapor and throat hit, then you need to get a manual switch device. Smoke Everywhere has a terrible reputation, unfortunately. I would suggest you check out one of these manual PV's: Joye 510/Janty Dura-C, Screwdriver, Prodigy, GG or Janty Stick. You will be much more satisfied.

Get a pait of tweezers or an unbent paperclip and pull the filler out and see if it is wet all the way through the filler. This could be a reason for decreased vapor production. Did you buy any juice or just the kit?

Good points made here by Ehvam. :)

Ehvam -- Since you know the exact model would you mind copying and pasting some video links for Socaled in this thread?

Thanks - mama

Sure mamacat
Its actually a sticky right here on the newbies section.

I just tried to link but I'm too new to post links yet. Its the sticky called
"new-updated-comprehensive-intro-vaping"

I don't know of any vid that is specifically for the rn4081, but it covers them in the video, along with great information and, if I may say so, a very beautiful host, so its a pleasure to watch. lol

I can say this.. I found, when I started, that covering one of the holes and drawing into my mouth, instead of my lungs really helped me get the vapor and hit that feels alot like a cigarette. Try that and see if it helps. Once I got the hang of a long draw that way I found I was able to draw into my lungs or into my mouth with alot of vapor.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I watched some videos but I think the bottom line I got a broken one. I am going to do some research and try and buy the best one out there.

Keep us posted Socaled! There are some really good ones out there but just know that it is WAY different than smoking. There is a user on YouTube that I really like a lot for reviews and different PV related issues - I think it is igetcha69. He is British and is very detailed and knowledgeable on the subject of PVs.

I would recommend the 901 or 401 as an automatic vape - i.e., no button to push - just draw on it similar to that of an analog. Or, a 510/Titan/Yeti/Dura-C for a manual vaping experience. There is a button you push and then you inhale similar to an analog. This gives you complete control over your vaping experience. Cut-off time is much higher than with an automatic, too.

I also have a ZiMoshi mod and it is my primary vape, but I am not going to suggest one of those to you this early in the game. If and when the time is right, you will make the move to a mod ~ most people who love vaping do. ;)

It really is all going to depend on your vaping style and habits.

Best wishes!! :)
