Bought a VV. Love it. Got a T3 with a few replacement heads. They are driving me nuts! I use them and for the first few days, about a week... They ROCK! Then all of a sudden they start gurgling, flooding the batt, and having a very very light hit. I tried changing the voltage, kinda helps for a few drags, then back to the same old song and dance, flooding gurgling ect... Am I doing something wrong? Seems people love them... I'm about to give up on them.... PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you rotate your heads or are you using the same one over and over? Have you tried running them under hot water? I have three or four extra heads, when I refill I take the coil I was using and rinse it under as hot of water as I can stand hitting my hands. Then I grab one of the other ones that has already been rinsed and dried, I keep them in a rotation so I know which one has had the longest chance to dry, it's usually had at least a couple of days.

Do you know what the ratio of PG/VG you are using? I've also found the T3s work best with more VG for a thicker juice. With 90/10 and 80/20 they flood on me at around the 1ml mark. Now I use 65/35 and I can almost vape it dry.

Earleyj85, I'm right there with you! Crazy out of my mind. Every time I'd turn them over to add juice (not a new fill, they're fine then), I'd lose juice. Bought 9 of them and 10 extra heads. I rinse them out in hot water, dry, soak in vodka overnight, rinse again and let dry the next day. Still had the same problems even with rotation. Then, I found a YouTube video. Makes a lot of sense. I haven't tried it yet because I'm trying different clearos at the moment. This might help you.

How To: Fix your leaking Kanger T3! - YouTube

BTW, I've had the same problems with Kanger EVODS too.

Ah ha! I have not been cleaning them! Any suggestions for the best method to clean the coils? Besides running them through h2o? Sounds easy enough. I will clean one tonight and see if its any better tomorrow. Also will start rotating a few out. Thanks!

If you are good about rinsing them out I find that is all they need to stay in good shape. However, if you have been using them for awhile they may need something more then that. Some people recommend soaking them in vodka. I would try letting them soak in in a high concentration of rubbing alcohol overnight then rinse them in the morning and be sure to give them plenty of time to dry.

I think some people get a little excessive with their cleaning, but if it works for them....

I don't do anything special except make sure to rinse them out with hot water and rotate a couple to let them dry and I never had a problem.

Your loosing juice because when the coil is turned down tight it creates a pressure and vacuum that holds the juice in the wicks, on the coil, and stops the juice from running out of the tank. When you turn it over and loosen the coil you release the pressure holding the liquid in place so a little bit of it may run down the air tube out the mouth piece. It should not be that much though...

just shove a q-tip in the mouth piece to soak up any juice that may run out. After you fill it turn it right side up then turn the q-tip over to the other side and make sure the mouth piece is cleaned of any juice in side. And make sure not to pour any juice in the center tube when you are filling your T3.

What I have found that helps me is if I do not hit the T3 as hard as say a carto and they seem to be better with no gurgle/battery flooding untill the juice runs low, then they still flood on me. There seems to be so many folks out there that have experienced these same problems (without blocking the air holes). I think there is a design flaw in this clearo that needs to be addressed.:2c:

I agree there's a design flaw but, then again, they're made in China for probably 5 cents each! I watched the video by Vapingwithdave and he says to recoil but I've also been told to use the flavor wicks from a burnt out coil and that will help with the leaking. Haven't tried it yet but intend to.

I soak mine 'excessively' in vodka because I use dark juices, bakery, coffees, etc. I don't want to taste rubbing alcohol in my vape :).

It really depends on what kind of juice you vape. You can get away with thorough water rinsing with clear juices. If you enjoy dark juices and (especially) heavy NETs then I suggest thorough rinse, dry burn, and another thorough rinse.

Maybe they need more flavor wicking to slow the juice flowing so fast? I dunno.......

That is not a good recommendation of rubbing alcohol. You should only be using things to rinse and clean that are safe for consumption. Distilled water, grain alcohol or vodka. Rubbing alcohol is not safe for human consumption.

I'm having the same issue and its driving me nuts. I bought a t3 with my dial-a-volt from SI and it was crap. Or it worked for the first 3/4 of a tank and then leak city after that. After seeing many glowing reviews and having people tell me I must have just gotten a bad one I used my volt points to order two mini t3s and another big one. That way I get to try out some more and see if I got a bad one and I'm only out the shipping if they are as horrible as the first one.

First one I tried, mini t3 with 60/40 vg/pg copper creek peach. Amazing for the first 2/3 of the tank, and then gurgle gurgle for a few hits. Then leak city and I toss it in the ashtray so it doesn't get all over my truck. I assure I'm not blocking any air holes. I agree with one of the previous posts about inhale. I think the t3 doesn't like to be "pulled" as much as gently inhaled through. Which is fine bc even inhaling ever so carefully through it the th and vapor are still great.

I'm going to try the other big t3 today and hopefully it's one of the magical ones that everyone raves about. Please if you have anymore tips pass them along here!

Rubbing Alcohol absolutely should never be used! It's just not made for consumption and you will never get rid of that awful taste!

I Tried using it on a battery end once to clean the threads, and the taste, even after it dried, went into the carto I was using at the time..IIKKKYYY!

Vodka or grain alcohol are your friends for cleaning these things :)
