Thank you all! After watching the video I guess filling my own cartos is not as big of a deal as I thought. Truth is, I thought it would be a major pain in the backside so I was trying to avoid it. I also did not know that my bloog battery which I will say seems to be a great battery would work with these other brands of cartos. You guys are awesome! I'm really happy to find out that my money has not been totally wasted since I can use the batteries with other brands. I didn't know they were interchangeable. I'll do some experimenting and see what I come up with. One question....... refilling my own cartos will I run into the liquid dumping out into my mouth? I had a blucig do that and it was disgusting to say the least! Is it a matter of simply doing it right or is there more to know in order to avoid that?

Ok ,I ordered some of the halo menthol and I'm going to try refilling cartos.... guess I'll try several different juices and see what I come up with on that end. I just want to say...... you guys are so much help! The net seems to be full of bogus reviews and bs, it is great to have somewhere with real ecig users that are willing to help. I'm determined to throw my analogs in the trash once and for all. After smoking for 40 years, its definitely time. Guess I'm a wimp..... I can't seem to totally give up "smoking" so I've decided that the ecig is the way to go. Really, really looking forward to no ash, no smell, etc. And..... I have grown kids that constantly ..... about it so they'll be happy campers! Not that this old lady lets 'em get to her but hey, the no more .....in will be nice! So, looks like I'm now on the hunt for the juice that hits the spot for me! Who knows, I might get lucky and love this halo when it arrives. Hoping they ship quickly as that has been another crappy thing I've run into with the ecigs.... lousy customer service. Blucigs topped the charts on that one, they were horrible. Thanks again everyone!

Granny- Nice to see you back!
You are definitely on the right track- just by finding this site. I know what you mean about the bogus stuff out there on the internet, you have to wade through it all just to find something that isn't trying to sell you Blus, disposables or whatnot. Fly-by-nights, I call them. They're just out to make a quick buck and cash in on the 'latest gadget' and run. They do serve one purpose, though- they get people thinking about ecigs. This website is the complete opposite- it's been around for years, and everybody here is so helpful.

On your question about the ejuice dripping in your mouth- it was a problem at first for me (I overfill every time, not so good on the equipment!) so I got what is called a drip tip.
Some people use their drip tips for dripping (that's another story) but I use mine as you would a filter tip- I just stick it on the end, and no more juice; just as much hit.
I might be somewhat alone in the department of over-ejuicing, because it's very bad for your equipment; if you're not careful, it could harm your gear.
That said, you might want to consider getting a drip tip, too- just for starters. I think they're only a buck.
Good Luck!

This thread is getting a bit long so I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this. If you are using an automatic battery be really careful about not vaping with an overfilled carto. If the juice gets into the battery it may ruin it. After filling a carto blow it out before putting it on the battery and wipe the battery end on a piece of tissue. This will also help prevent getting juice into your mouth. Manual batteries are usually sealed but I don't know about the ones you have.

I'm not sure what this means but you could say that for me it's five watts. I mix my juice so it would taste best at that level so it may not apply to anyone else. As long as the carto coil stays wet you will just keep getting more vapor as you increase the power. It's all a matter of personal taste.

here's how it works.
The more power a battery sends to the coil the more juice that can be vaporized.
power = watts
More volts = more watts = more hit and vapor.
Lower ohms = more watts = more hit and vapor.

Using more watts will also drain your battery faster.

With the same voltage you will get a lot more hit and smoke with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer than with a 3.0 ohm cartomizer. To say a battery gives good smoke and hit doesn't really mean anything. It the combination of battery votlage and cartomizer ohms that matters.
What I meant was (this is an extreme example) if you had a 6v battery and a say, 4.0 cart. The amount of ohms might feel the same if you used a 3.7v battery with a 2.0 cart?
I know there is the equation out there, I just can't find it right now.

Just got the halo g6 today. So far, so good. The menthol ice seems to be a great flavor and I'm going to order a couple of other menthol juices they have and try those. I'll see what I think after using it for a few days but so far, I'm happy! I got two auto batteries and one manual. Not sure about the manual one but I'll give it a try and see how it works out. I'm really glad to see that the bloog batteries I have are compatible with the halo cartridges so that saves me a little money..... very happy about that! So........ I'll report back and once again thanks to all of you for the help!

Excellent! We're always glad to help!
I started with an automatic battery and switched to the manual. They're both good in their own ways, kind of what you feel comfortable about, as always.
And YES, it's always good to know you didn't have to start from scratch. I always try to salvage what I can- you sound a lot like me.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
