So I started posting on this forums few weeks ago, I appreciated all the kind words and suggestions. I got a higher mg ejuice but found myself pulling away from vaping more and more that the last few days I am back to using the analogs. I liked the new mg of ejuice but I think my problem is I overthink everything and found I am inhaling wrong and not getting the nic like I should. So I am gonna try this again. I guess practice makes perfect!

Vaping for nic hit is different than smoking. The molecules in smoke are about 100x smaller than in vapor so deep lung inhales like with smoking don't have the same effect. Try a nice slow 3-5 second mouth inhale followed by drawing that into your lungs before a slow exhale through your nose. Hope this helps and keeps you off the stinkies.

ok here are some suggestions to try to help you absorb the nicotine and get the satisfaction from the vapor. If you mouth to lung inhale try drawing the vapor into your mouth hold it there count 12345 inhale it hold it there 12345 blow it out. if you can lung inhale take in the vapor inhaling deeply hold the vapor in count 1234567 blow it out. try this out and let me know how it works for you I have other info for you if it doesn't help.

It does take some time to get used to it & adjust. I remember the first drag I took from my PV. I thought I was going to cough up a lung! Don't beat yourself up. Give yourself some time to transition. I agree with the other post too...vape often. When you want a cig try vaping first & see if it helps with the urge. And don't beat yourself up if you feel like you have to have a cigarette. We only count the ones we don't smoke here. Not the ones we do.

I don't know if this helps but sometimes it's not just the nic I take, but the 'feeling' of smoking. I smoked cigarettes and cigars using the familiar mouth to lung inhale. For vaping I always do straight lung inhales. This gives me the most satisfying vape and replaces that urge to smoke. It could also be the device and juice you're using. What are you using?

Per above, do your inhales and exhales in a leisurely way like your dear old granddad did, sitting in the garden on a sunny sunday afternoon. Quick hits like that of smoking a cigarette behind the bicycle shed, between school classes and hoping not to get busted , isn't too satisfying and can lead to dry hits. Just hang in there and tell yourself "I can do this". And if you smoke one or two, so what? Think of all the ones you didn't smoke because you're vaping instead. It'll come together in time. :)

Here's my two cents, for some people starting on a "good" cig-a-like works good or an Ego with a 510 cartomizer. There's also adapters and small tanks that fit on the cig-alikes, Halo a vendor that has excellent kits and juices. I recommend either the G6 as I've had personal experience with it, and I've heard a lot of great reports about the e-Roll kits and I believe the price has recently dropped on those as well. Sometimes you can even catch a kit with lots of extras for cheap on the classifieds. I mention this about the cig-alikes and cartomizers is because for some people the "feel" and "realness" some of them give helps some people who are having a hard time to transition over more smoothly.

The disposables are a more expensive route, but they offer even more "realism". I was personally really impressed when I received the new Njoy disposable at a discounted price. It may help to "practice" with that kind before going up to an Ego/Evod or Spinner type battery.

I personally think having a good juice helps too. The way I do my draw is to either pull it into my mouth and then into my lungs, sometimes holding it there and then exhale out of both my nose and mouth, usually or directly into my lungs. At first I didn't want ANYTHING that didn't CLOSELY resemble a cigarette but as I started experimenting with the Evod style batteries and getting into all the mods one of my first purchases was a cheap Cool Fire 2 set from Innokin. It's styled after a WW2 grenade, somewhat heavy at first, and NOTHING like a cigarette LOL! I ditched the iclears got some Kanger Aerotanks that have airflow control and now I'm moving up to rebuildables!

I haven't had a smoke in something like 2 months! Don't give up. If you can afford to or get to a decent retail vape shop in your area see if you can experiment with a few different devices and juices. Like you said, don't over think things, I almost did that at first with vaping but for different reasons but I'm glad I forged forward! Just relax and make it fun, that's a big part of what "hooked" me. Maybe even look into WTA juices which are found to be calming to many, my self included! I hope you find out how to get your vape on and are able to give up those stinky smokes soon! Best of luck!

I've been vaping now for 6 months or so after 38 yrs. Best decision I ever made for myself. One thing for sure, you have to want success to get success. Just don't give up. Every cig you smoke think "3000 chemicals, $$$, cough cough". It does take a lot to get used to and it takes time. Keep going forward and you won't go back. Vaping a juice that you like helps immensely. Don't think that means a tobacco flavor either, there are some extremely tasty concoctions out there. There is a lot of 'habit' involved also. I still have to have something in my hand and find myself carrying it around constantly, even after 6 months. I've even tried to 'light' it once or twice. This forum is the best support group ever. If you need any support, you'll find it here. We won't let you down.

When I first started vaping, I swear I never put my e-cig down. I vaped pretty much from the time I got up until I went to bed because so long as I had my e-cig in my mouth, no cigs had a chance. I didn't worry about overdoing it because (a) I knew my body would act up if I did and (b) I knew it was not anywhere near as bad for me as smoking and there were times when I had chain-smoked and didn't get sick or die. So just vape, vape, vape. Get the right amount of nicotine in your juice. And, if you do smoke, just say okay, I had that cig, now I will vape some more. And one of these days according to posts I've seen here a cig will taste so bad that you just won't want one anymore. My favorite advice for everything is "stay on the day you are having." Try that, too.

If you can't make the switch over night as most people probably can't, try weening yourself off the smokes instead. Or focus on vaping more regularly, and try not to think about quitting smokes. If you want a smoke, go have one. It's your choice when its time to "quit" if you ever to quit completely.

My mom got me into vaping, and although she still smokes a few analogs a day (she just refuses to quit completely) its a LOT better than her 1 to 2 packs per day.

Ween yourself off without thinking about it. You'll most likely find that you naturally start vaping more and smoking less with minimal effort.
