I love the taste of coffee and I have 3 liquids...

Mocha 80/20 - from Vista Vapors
Cafe coffee 80 /20 - from Vista Vapors
Carmal machiato 80/20- from Gourmet Vapors.

I am vaping them in a protank 2 and have tried different voltage settings.. I have also tried them in Evods and a Iclear 30

Usually at the lowest setting 3.3 - I get a good flavor, if I sip or take a gentle mouth hit. But, I barely get any vapor.

If I try to hit it harder -- it's like a burnt match or sulpher taste and it sucks!

I am thinking that perhaps the juices are too thick and sticky for clearomizers - I dunno. What can I try?

I am looking for a coffee flavored vape -- or even toffee candy flavor would be ok... anyone have any luck with coffee flavors in a clearomizer? If so -- what are you doing right?

Try adding a couple drops of water or you can try diluting the PG with some VG.

I'll try the water thing... and I searched for 20 frustrating minutes at Walmart looking for Humco VG the other day - and asking the associates was even more frustrating. :) -- but I thought VG made it thicker? I can get plenty of vapor if I hit it real hard -- it's just taste real bad...

An 80/20 Pg/Vg ratio should be a pretty thin mixture from the get go. Adding more Vg would only make the juice thicker in viscosity. Adding a little distilled water or Pg would thin it.

Many coffee flavors are darker flavors which can quickly clog wicks. This may require more frequent coil head replacements in clearomizers.

Part of your problem may be using clearomizers. Most are known to mute certain flavors. You may want to try a 510 drip atomizer or a cartotank for more flavor production.

Many e-liquid vendors who do custom mixing will use a "tank friendly" base if you ask for it in the comment section before you confirm your order. I personally love the Kona Velvet Milkshake from Virgin Vapors; to me its a rich complex frape flavor. Not for everyone, but one of my long time favs.

Hello! I love coffee flavors and here is what I found, many are SUPER dark and there is just no way to make the dark ones vapeable for more than a few moments in a tank (they are still delicious in a dripper). Look for coffee flavors that are light/clear and you will be good to go.

My guess is yours is dark like the bottle on the right. Look for liquid with a color like the bottle on the left and you will be all set!

I agree. Surprisingly, I like Liqua's Cappuccino (I mix it with their Coffee because the Capp is a bit too sweet for me). Clear, clean and easy on the coils. :)

Exactly! Liqua Tiramisu as well. Very nice coffee flavor too. Once I looked for clear coffee liquids- I found the bold flavor and no longer had gunky coils either!

Wow! So..... The transparency effects the viscosity at the vapor point? Whats a trip! My mind/imagination just zoomed into a closeup of the wick going thru the coil.... why on earth would the color affect the movement or lack of movement of the spent residue between the coil and the wick?

hmmm..... my brain is workin...

I promise I am not being sarcastic... I just think it's trippy! Is it because there are more ingredients in the darker liquids or something? Like a dark beer makes ya bloated, while you can drink lites like theirs no tomorrow? same amount of liquid being processed, just different ingredients. :)

Alright... I'll try cleaning and changing my wicks for the coffee flavors - and dripping as well... and looking for a clear coffee flavored liquid... Thanks y'all!

This vaping thing sure has taken me on a lot of learning paths... who would of thought there was soo much to learn about breathing vapor to quit cigs!! hahahah :)

Because only PG and VG get vaporized cleanly, without leaving any residue behind. Everything else, flavoring particles, colorings, sweeteners etc. attach to the coil and the wick and slowly cook and bake and scorch til they look like this--and eventually choke the coil:

Please clean your coils often--every couple of days if you're using dark/sweet juices. Some coils have to be cleaned daily. A soak in PGA or vodka is all it takes to get rid of some of that crud. After a while, you'll have to dry burn the coil--or get a new one.

Another thing you can do is to vape a little (1 ml) of unflavored (or plain PG, VG, or a mix of the two) through your clearomizer to dissolve the impurities on the coil. I repeat this procedure a few times, as needed, until the my unflavored ejuice runs clean.
