It's been a frustrating day, like I said.
I'm not a complete newbie when it comes to vaping. I've had great success for 3 months--direct dripping, filling carts, getting great vapor and taste..

But today, my atomizers just refuse to work correctly, and my carts either.

I tried just direct dripping but everytime I add just a drop of fluid to an atty, it floods out, or gurgles, and won't produce vapor. I blew them all out..got all the fluid out of them, did a few dry burns.. then tried again..
same result. no matter what i do they are flooding out or not producing good vapor. i've tried the normal 3 drops, i've tried less. same result every time. i can't understand it and it came as a big surprise after thinking i had everything down pat. they're also getting hotter than usual. i wait 30 seconds between drags like you should, but they seem to be getting hotter quicker and staying hot longer.
(i've got about 5 different attys going that are all about a week old)

i've just about had it and am considering a switch to cartomizers.

any advice about this? are cartomizers worth it? it seems like you can get 5 cartomizers for a little more than one atty. i know they're pretty much disposable, maybe 2 or three uses, but it seems better from looking at it.

can you guys recommend this switch? any advice about the problems I encountered today? thanks guys.

Did something happen to the liquid you're using?
Did it maybe spend some time in an extremely hot car?

Sounds like the liquid is a problem, to me..

Cartomizers are great, only reason I keep regular atties around is for testing new flavors. Since you don't have any on hand, is your juice perhaps too thin? Try add some VG to it, available at most grocery places (Walmart etc).
I definitely suggest getting some cartomizers, they really are a lot easier than carts and cart mods and dripping and blah blah :p

that's what i was just thinking. maybe a liquid problem. do you think i should mix up a batch of vg/pg just to see how it does?

i'm using the same liquid i've always used, and haven't let it sit in any extreme temperatures. only thing i notice is that they are getting to about the end of the bottles, maybe have about 4 ml left of both.

one is 24mg cheesecake pg based. the other is unflavored cut with all vg and is pretty thick.

that's interesting though, i guess i'll mix up something as a test for now. seems like my best bet.

Hello Jive,

I have had those types of days also with attys.

It would help to know what type battery you are using? atomizer type?

A lot depends on voltage you are using.

Attys that were not producing for me have a new life when used at 5v.

I am using the Ego cartos now at 3.7v and they are the best cartos I have used to date.

Let us know what battery you are using please. Sounds like you aren't getting enough voltage from it is why the attys seem bad/

hmmm.. i'm using two manual joye 510 batteries. a little concerned that maybe they're dying on me or something, but there's two of them both having the same results so i'm a little less apt to make that judgement.

two attys came with the kit, probably getting a little old so I'm disregarding, but the others are all three from different suppliers and about a week old.

i just tried some different juice batches i made up, in varying thicknesses, and same result.

one of the attys is now working somewhat for me. won't let me do direct dripping but i've got a cart that's performing "okay" with it.

I think I've narrowed it down to a few possibilities:
1. My batteries are somehow not producing good voltage all of a sudden.
2. My cart filling method is off in some way. Thought it has worked in the past, possibly I didn't use the polyfill correctly in terms of air flow and such..
3. All the attys are "on their way out" at the same time somehow.
4. I've somehow contaminated all of my liquid supplies. lol

Ahhh. Thanks for the help everyone. I'm not sure I'm offering much help for you guys trying to answer. I'm a little too confused now to even break it down into specifics so you guys can help. Just a complete disaster today somehow..

Thanks for the advice on cartomizers though I definitely appreciate that. I think i'll make the switch most likely if things don't clear up soon.

Cartomizers are the bomb. I quit using anything else since I was introduced to them. I use them on my Buzz from Notcig because even cartos and different juices need a voltage adjustment for the best performance. Once you find the cartos you like best you'll love them. Just keep them wet though.

And run 'em at 6v. When nothing else wants to work for ya, that will.

Have you tried cleaning your atty's at all? There is a link on how to revitalize your atty's I will try and fetch it for you.. I try to clean mine once a week especially when I am vaping the heavier darker liquids..

i've got the day off tomorrow so i'll have to give that a go. just going to try and make it through the night at work with this pathetic vapor production i got going on right now i guess lol might have to just straight up throw my pack of analogs out from in my car so i don't tempt myself.

Ive had alot of just bad vaping days lately.I have 3.7 and 6v.Neither seem to do it.The lower is to low and 6v just burns everything up.Im getting fed up and Im hoping maybe a 5v device will be the one.Strong enough but not burning hot.As soon as I can swing it,Im going to try 5v.

let me know if you ever find something that works well. i think it's getting to the point where i need to get to a higher voltage to fall back in love with vaping. past few days have taken a lot out of the enjoyment. hopefully i can learn from your failures if possible! haha :)

how long does a carto last when you fill it? is it like equivalent to 5 cigs worth ? that's the only thing i worry about with switching.

you can get like 2ml of juice in those right? I think that's what I heard. Does all the juice usually get used or do you end up wasting a lot?

Here and back
I'm having a "bad" few days as well. Nothing is hitting right. I've gone through atomizers like crazy, everything tastes harsh (or just plain bad) and I'm carrying my entire arsenal around with me while hunting and pecking for the right vape (purse is very heavy). I guess we just go through spells.

Good luck, I hope you get sorted out. I may need to re-visit my stash of KR808 cartomizers.
