* Wyatt Earp - This was a free sample. It tasted like soapy perfume and Jalapeno.
* Max/Boro - First I was pretty suprized that the liquid was brown. No tobacco taste. Taste like a sweet, soapy perfume with some spiciness on exhale. This made my nose and sinuses really uncomfortable. Tried in empty carto as well, tasted the same.
* American Spirit - Perfume with heavy Jalapeno taste. No tobacco taste at all
Yes,yes,yes.
Same here.
On the other hand, I really like Purecig, it tastes like ashtray.

i have had mostly good experience with fsusa, and two of the flavors you mentioned, thin mint cookie and cappucino smooth, tasted just like a chocolate mint cookie and cappucino, lol. i also tried the caramel cream and it seemed to have a chemical/perfume taste. i did not try the orange creamsicle, but i did try a chocolate orange of theirs and it was way too strong on the orange. however, i have tried a couple of other vendors based on good reviews and have found i don't like the taste of their juices at all. i have noticed a drastic difference between vendors. fsusa is definitely my favorite. i hope you find one that works for you.

I had the same issue with another respected vendor here, Random Musing. To me, every flavor in that vendor's catalogue tasted like burnt garbage despite the awesome reviews others were giving. It is what it is, ya know? Some of us taste and smell things others can not. It sucks in situations like this, certainly.

It took me almost 100 purchases to find an all day vape. I now stick to BWB and Vaperite. The only FSUSA I personally care for is Thin Mint, but only every now and again and in small doses. It has a 'thick' quality to it that borders on uncomfortable to me if I vape the flavor too often.

I wish I knew what the common ingredient is in juices that I perceive as being chemical burnt. Then I could just ask if a specific flavor had XYZ ingredient and not buy those.

Keep trying new ones. Just because you haven't been vaping for X amount of months/years doesn't mean you don't know what tastes good or bad to you and there are others who will share your flavor profile and thus appreciate your reviews.

Good luck!

While I certainly understand people wanting to defend anyone's right to write a bad review, I want to point out the only reason I suggested steeping, troubleshooting the atomizer, and otherwise implying that it may not just be a matter of taste, is because the original poster had mentioned in several other threads over the past few weeks that they were having terrible experiences with burnt, metallic, peppery tastes even with juices that they liked, and there were some problems with hardware.

So, it's understandable that people are attempting to troubleshoot and think it might not be a matter-of-taste review. It might be different of the review came from someone who had already found several juices that they liked, or from a reviewer that realizes some juices are better appreciated at different voltages, or shine in different atomizers. A lot of people base their purchasing decisions on reviews, and reviews posted here are read by a lot of people, so it's reasonable to consider all of the factors that might produce a bad review. Especially when many people report having had very different experiences, it's beneficial for anyone reading the review who is considering buying from a certain vendor to know some of the factors that might affect whether they will love or hate their product...

Hi jplanet,

I believe you're spot on about how a juice can change flavor based on the equipment used to vape it. As an example, I have discovered I am not a cartomizer person. I can always taste the flavor of the cartomizer stuffing, and specifically the metallic burning of the wire, no matter what kind of juice I load the thing up with.

It's probably a good idea for reviewers to state what set up a flavor was vaped on if for no other reason than the scenario you laid out.

Having said that, I always chuckle when someone critiques a review by saying, "Well, I noticed by your join date..." Everyone on this forum should have owned a nose and a mouth for a minimum of 18 years. Said individual should have a pretty good handle of what various things smell/ taste like. Just because someone is a n00bz doesn't mean that their opinions aren't valid.

IMHO. YMMV. ;)

OP: * Wyatt Earp - This was a free sample. It tasted like soapy perfume and Jalapeno.

I wish I woud have read this before my purchase. I don't taste the Jalapeno... but man that perfume tastes like perfume... although it smells like a heavenly perfume, one that I would like to wear if I wore perfume. The soapy part is the aftertaste... I literally expect to see tiny bubbles burst from exhale. Not my cuppa tea, let me tell ya. (I let it steep for a week before trying... maybe it needs a month or 6?)

Uma: I have some that has steeped since October and pulled it out recently due a "I will KILL you for a smoke" moment and am out of my favorite "pretend it's a cig juice"...I've said it before and will say it again - I think there is part of Wyatt's "erp" in the juice as well as his saddle. I am not a fan of dead Mr. Earp.
However, I love their hopscotch, pear and citrus blend juices! But hey what do I know? I'm a person who puts ketchup on their mac n cheese.

I'm a vaping newb too, but I'm also a super-smeller. I too have have some perfumey, soapy, or metallic taste and smell with some of the FSUSA samples I've tried. Since I have a small pile of juices from various vendors to try, they'll all get a little time to steep, but so far my FSUSA experience hasn't knocked my socks off. I haven't decided yet that they're not for me, but it's looking like I will need to continue to shop around for my preferred vendor.

This is the only FSUSA juice that 'turns my stomach'! I have the original sample bottle here from early December...so it's been sitting for over 2-1/2 months....still smells and tastes the same....no matter what I do it to make it vapable! I've read over and over on the forum that this juice is a 'ya either love it or hate it'....I am definitely the latter!

I am a love it person! Wyatt Earp is my all day every day vape and I love it. To me it doesn't smell perfumey! :)

I don't think it smells perfumey at all...I really can't put my finger on it! But there's something very harsh to MY tastebuds that makes me wish I was a 'love it' person cause so many GO TO it regularly, but I just can't pin point the one flavor in it that makes ME stay away from it! Any ideas?

Haha, so here I am, still vaping it.. all day yesterday, and into this morning, and I even began enjoying it somewhat. Perhps I am determined to name that beautiful perfume? Last night my daughter looked over to me and said.. "mmmmm, that smells so good! like some kind of pipe tobacco". I still can't smell that, but maybe tomorrow I will.
This morning, with my coffee, i recieved a tasteful hint of Curry! Imagine my surprise to find another poster rushing to state the same. haha, this blend is .... interesting.
The good news is: The soapsuds have left the building, and half the perfume. The "full body" is still there thank goodness.

Same here, came as a free sample and now is my main vape! To me it tastes like what Red Man Chewing tobacco smells like, crazy how taste buds are different. I only started reading this thread because of the Jalepeno taste comment:)

Never tried any FSUSA juice myself but I can empathise with your experience. I have tried juices (mainly tobacco ones) from a number of vendors and I know that perfumey taste you mention well.

I also know how frustrating it is trying to find a great tasting juice, it not so much the money (if you only order samples) its the disappointment at having to rule out a particular vendor and go on searching.

I will just mention that I had an RY4 from a UK vendor, but juice came from China, and when I tried it I got heavy soapy perfume. Put it to one side and then I experienced the terrible “loss of taste” syndrome and in desperation I tried some of my “put to one side” juices. You can guess what I’m going to tell you… the RY4 tasted great and I finished off the whole 10ml.

What I’m trying to say is that screwy things can and do happen in the juice taste world.

PS
I do really like the Vaperite juices and I would definitely try a few samples the Organic VR4, Rou’s Hazlenut tobacco and organic APV are very delicate with no perfume taste (to my taste buds) and they seem to get better the more you go through, which I always think is a good sign.

Anyway the best of luck on your quest.

When I began vaping last October, I naturally thought that I'd be drawn to the tobacco flavors and because I am a huge coffee and chocolate fan-those flavors also. NOT! Imagine my surprise, though; when I tried some small samples of fruity/menthol types of juices and found out that I couldn't get enough of the Strawberry Menthol, or the Cherry Limeade. I DO love Wyatt Earp with a small amount of butterscotch added, the Hypnotic Mist, and right now, Front Porch is a big favorite.
I regularly order from FSUSA and Gourmet Vapor, and am very happy with their wide selection, timely service, and with most of their flavors. Yes; there have been a few that have bombed for me; but all in all, I've found that what I "think" I might like isn't at all what I end up loving. Keep on experimenting with those liquids, and good luck!

I don't care for FSUSA either so it's not just you. I found that a lot of their tobacco flavors, especially the dark ones, tasted like cola. I couldn't vape the RY4, or the Wyatt Earp. The Hypnotic Mist tasted kinda ok after about a month. I get all my juices now from BWB (555, Hunter's Blend are my faves), or VsVapor (Tampa is very good). I'd try those out if you feel so inclined.

I just went to order a 120 ml bottle of RY4 and it's gone!!! It wasn't on the site&^^&^&^55.... I emailed FSUSA and had a answer in a hour. Will be available tomorrow. I love the RY4. I don't taste anything but caramel and tobacco. The lite caramel and tobacco on enhale and a stronger caramel/ vanila/ tobacco on exhale. I just don't taste jalapeno...and I love Jalapano..just not in my juice. I do like W.E on occasion. I was vaping it quite a bit until I started using RY4 as a regular. You could put 10 people in a room and maybe..2 would taste a similar product.. the rest would vary. That's what makes the world turn!
