As long as I've vaped, I've sometimes found something lacking in the sensation, particularly with tobacco flavors, and it doesn't seem to be about nicotine or throat hit, and I don't think it's the mysterious MAOIs. It's more a matter of robustness of flavor. When you think of full flavor versus light cigarettes, it's the "tar" component, not the nicotine, that determines the taste and the sensation when inhaling, as I understand it. As somebody who didn't have any use for light cigarettes (although I did settle for Marlboro Mediums for quite some time), I sometimes wonder if juice manufacturers cater their products to the lights-smoking majority. And I wonder if those who were full-flavor smokers and who DIY tend to up the flavor component in their juices to good effect.

I think this may be one of the cases where it's a matter of equipment and personal preference rather than the juice. I was a two pack/day smoker, but of Virginia Slims Ultra Lights. I have found that some of the most beloved tobacco flavors out there, I cannot stand because they're a little too "robust". At the same time, though, my taste buds are still a bit deadened because of the years of smoking and there are few flavors (other than the robust) that I could even tell what they were supposed to be.

It may help you to try either increased voltage, either via a 5V passthrough or the LR equipment (if you haven't already) to see if maybe the increased warmth and amount of the vapor provides the missing piece for you.

I second this.

I despised lights as well. I smoked Marb greens and Newports and would take pretty large, deep drags.

3.7 volt with a standard atty did not satisfy me. I use LR 510s with my 3.7 volt PV and regular 510s with my 5 volt PV.

Also, try some juices that excel at vapor production. Nhaler HV and Octane have rediculous amounts of vapor that I find to be quite satisfying.

LR kind of helps with the warmth of the vapor, although it also seems to expose some things I don't like about one of my favorite tobacco flavors. I haven't experimented with higher voltage yet. I'm not sure if better vapor production would really get at what I feel I'm lacking. (But then again, I'm not sure it wouldn't, either...)
