Funny story I thought I'd share...

So I went to Denver a few weeks ago for a friend's wedding. I'm at the rehearsal dinner the first night in town. And I had plenty to drink so of course I made plenty of restroom stops throughout the evening. It served me well early on in the evening as I was fairly reluctant to vape openly in the banquet hall. So when I'd make my pit stops to the restroom I'd hit up a stall and vape away as I did my business.

Now I had told myself the first 3 or 4 trips to the can that I needed to be careful and not drop my PV in the toilet. So as the night went on and the drinks went down, so did my reflexes. I'm sure you can imagine by now what happened on the next trip...


It fell in the toilet...


Mid pee...


SON OF A...!!!!8-o I'm calmly freaking out in my head, which I had a few more moments to do before taking action because I was still going to the bathroom. C'mon, we all know you can't just stop once you've started.

So as any self respecting drunken vaper would do...
When I finished, I pulled up a sleeve and fished it out. And quickly ran over to the sink, took it apart and gave it a good rinse and dry.
As I'm doing all of this I'm kicking myself because I had warned myself so many times on previous trips.

So I finished cleaning and drying it and I'm thinking this battery has to be toast. But it worked fine. I pushed the button a few times to dry the atty and voila! Dripped a few drops and headed back up to the party.

As the night went on and everyone got tipsy I happily vaped in the banquet room and even shared a few puffs with curious guests.

Of course I didn't have the heart to tell any of them where it had been previously.

I've since switched from a stock 510 battery to a Tornado. But I suppose the moral of the story is...you can totally drop a 510 in the toilet and it will still work! Provided you're not a germaphobe that is.

Great story! I lost my 510 in pile of slush/snow for about 15 minutes and it still worked fine. Now when I use that same atty it tastes like snow! (not yellow snow, but snow).

Honestly? It tastes like snow? Mine tasted completely normal afterward. Of course I was vaping fireball so i suppose even pee wouldn't stand a chance. Thank goodness I wasn't eating asparagus that night!

Great story!

I dropped my Joye in the yard as I was packing in gear from a gig. Gave up looking for it that night (it was dark and I was drunk) and just vaped myself to sleep on my spare. The next morning (it was light and I was sober) I found it in the grass covered in dew. I thought it was gone for good, but after a quick dry, the little trooper worked fine!

I haven't had the privilege of being subjected to such a predicament, but I doubt I'd be fishing for it in a public toilet, or even my home toilet for that matter.

Wow, it's not like there was a big duke laying in there when it happened.

Let me just remind you that I was highly inebriated (so was everyone else). I'm also obviously not a germaphobe. To me it was just funny and the only thing alarming about it was that it might not work anymore. It was the only PV on me at the time. And I would much rather vape a PV that recently fell in a public toilet than smoke a real cigarette.

And for the record, I did give it a thorough cleaning in vodka the next morning.
