Got mine today, but am still in town, gotta pick up up washers and o rings. Fooling with it in the car....tank "falls" off. Lol....the on that was NOT pa I tried to thread the 5ml cap on on and started to panic cause the thread bound..... Thought I was goingto have to put in vise when I got home.. I will definitely HAVE to polish the threads, I hope that remove burrs. the pa units tops spin on and off like a swiss time piece, or for those of the southern persuasion , slickery than a greased pig. Lol.... Back to shopping

Hey guys, I got my GTUS (thanks to Dan for resend it)

A question tho: my tanks (specially the external tubes) smell... I don't know how to describe it, but if i vape trough them, it smells like fresh metal + some sort of product. It's definitely not what it is supposed to smell like.
I tried cleaning them with water, water+dish soap, peroxide and now soaking them in alchool but they still smell. Any advice?

Go here to the bottom assembly and wick section, has everything you need to know.

I wanted to drop in and apologize for not getting the site updated some more, and I never had the chance to follow thru with the plans I had either. If anyone is interested in doing some work on the site let me know and I will give you access. I still haven't gotten my G-Tank-US working very well, but I haven't tried very hard either. Will be bringing it to Florida, hopefully someone there will help me...maybe? Dan? lol.

Got my gtank in today and after fiddling with it for some hours I was ready to give up.well I went and watched Dans video again and thought I can do it.
Well I did manage on my 4th wick to get it right. Although. The vape is not as warm as I am used too, it is not bad. I am thinking once the wick and coil break in it should work pretty well.

Quick queStion though.
When I take the cover off the tank there is quite a bit of liquid around the outside of the tank. Is this what the other o ring is for? Is that the tank creep everyone is speaking of?

k3vin, that's mostly condensation from the vapor that passes through that section. Some of it could be leakage if it's over-wicking, of course, but even when it's not there is quite a bit of condensate that builds up in there.

The "tank creep" you see referred to is when the juice tank won't stay seated and the o-ring pushes it up off the base

Ok, on the middle piece, I haven't cut the spike in any fashion. It's just as Dan sent it to me. Is the spike tapered enough at the top to prevent me from threading a 35mm x 35mm piece of rolled mesh thru it? I'm really trying to roll these suckers tight, but damn.

I managed to get mine through without cutting the spike, but it is really tight. I did roll mine solid and not around a pin.

It will take a few practice runs, but it is possible :)

I know what you mean. I did finally get a 35x35 to go through the hole but it was too tight.

Gotcha. I'll keep at it, but the videos make it look so simple and I'm just struggling with it.

LOL, Amen Brother! I did start it over a thin needle for a couple of wraps, then removed it. Then just kept working it for a good while. I certainly hope it gets easier with practice!

Ok, I'm not whining here, but sharing information and my findings.

I just cut another 35mm x 35mm square and rolled that sucker TIGHT. I took my time and painstakingly got it rolled as tightly as possible. It was too big in diameter to thread thru the middle piece "spike hole."

I'm gonna stop wasting my mesh trying to get that particular size square to fit. If a smaller size square which I can roll to fit won't give me the optimal performance from this tank atty, then I'll just have to call it good and either live with it or die from it.
