I have been vaping with a smok alien 220 and a dead rabbit for quite a while now and recently I bought a justfog minifit pod system, I've never experienced gagging with either but last week I woke up and just couldn't use the smok anymore, I can still use the pod system but whenever i try I just start gagging like crazy, I've read on other forums but none seem to help, the gagging has only started since I got the pod system, thoughts?

Welcome to ECF! Bombastinator is bang on with his question about whether you used the pod juice in your dead rabbit. Someone I work with put nic salts, which pod systems usually use, in his sub ohm tank accidentally and was choking on the vape.
Are you using the same e-liquid in both devices?
The e-liquid used in many pod systems often have a higher nic concentration. If you would use that e-liquid into a sub-ohm setup you would be getting a higher nic concentration which could cause you to cough or gag.

Why can't you use the Smok anymore? You say that the Minifit makes you gag. But you don't say why you can't use the Smok.
Maybe it's the flavor or the VG/PG ratio that you are using in the Minifit. Anything with more PG than 50/50, is disgusting to me. People have different preferences.

This is one of the possibilities that makes the most sense to me.
Yea, mtl and dl are two different styles. DL will dry you out and cause a gagging reflex. Pods have higher nic and will also dry you out. Higher nicotine content = higher dehydration

Could also look at PG/VG ratios if different. Dead Rabbit vs Pod juice differences may also be an area of concern.

Hmm that shouldn’t be enough to knock you over like it seems to be doing unless you’ve never smoked before in which case why in God’s name are you messing with nicotine vapes?!
My suspicions move to pg sensitivity or a burnt coil
What is level of nicotine in the pod system?
What is your usual wattage on the Smok?
What is the coil wire material used in the RDA, on the Smok?
How does the RDA coil look, is it shorted, gunked up?
Do you get a peppery taste with the RDA?
What is your PG/VG ratios?
These might seem like a lot of questions. Information though usually helps folks come to a better understanding of the problem, ergo better quality of advice.

How is the DR set up?
What coil(s) are you using? coil material/ID/wraps/single or dual/wick material/resistance displayed?
What power level are you using? Watts (Temp if using TC mode)
Have you recoiled or re wicked the DR recently?
What is the flavour/brand and PG/VG ratio of the juice you are using: in the Smok/DR, in the Minifit?
Did you have any issues switching to the minifit and it's more restricted, slower draw technique versus the strong, sharp "gulping " draw needed for the DR/Smok?

If NOTHING has changed about your DL setup and you are ENTIRELY sure that your coils and wick are okay, I might consider whether using a more MTL pod has changed your inhale style, and you are having trouble adjusting to going between the two, especially if you are using nic salts in your pod, they are smoother.
But that is just hazarding a guess, and honestly it could be a million other things, etc.

It depends which cool I'm using, I make my own coils so it varies
My could aren't burnt, I've rewicked them and tried a different doesn'it doesn't help, i usually use 70/30 vg/pg and I use either steel it kanthal to make the coils
