Gaming Vapers?

Ok so I had to see what Second Life is all about, just started an account. LOL Dang you guys and your arm twisting!!

Please be very careful. That place can be lots of fun, but it can also be lots of ugly. Maybe it's changed since I was there in 2005, but I can tell you that I got ripped off big time. Other players wanting to make land deals and the like.

Just use some common sense (which I didn't do) and you'll be fine. This is just a friendly heads up from someone who is still licking his SL wounds.

Talk about a learning curve! Let me know when you figure out how to change outfits in public without going nude!

I'm surprised and happy to see so many SLers in here. I've had a mostly good experience, except for the fact that I'm too cheap to spring for in-world cash. Trying to scrounge up enough $L to pay rent and do the occasional upload becomes taxing after awhile... I'm on a self-imposed hiatus right now, because I found I was spending WAAAAY too much time in-world.

What's cool is that you choose your own level of involvement. It can be as simple as a glorified chatroom, or as involved as a real-world money-making venture, it's up to you.

I actually haven't been in-world since before I was vaping. SL killed many many cigarettes for me! Speaking of which, has anybody modded a cigarette to glow blue at the end? I've thought about this several times since I got on the vapor-train.

I have played a ton of multi player FPS games. Bioshock2, and Call of Duty MW2 as of lately...but a die hard Battlefield fan! My Vapor King is my hero nowadays! I can take a puff whenever i feel like it as it hangs in my trusty lanyard. Deadman2312, and minor variations of it has been my tag for 10+ years.

Wader, Fallout 3 and all the expansions were amazing.

on WoW I played on Azojl-Nerub and was a Horde-member.

Heh heh, I just knew Rocks was a Hordie...she's just too badazz.

Since everyone else shared WoW details...I got sucked into it about 4 years ago and still enjoy the hell out of it. Got six 80s on Blackhand, Horde, but my main is an Undead Arms Warrior. I mostly do PvP and Arena, but we suck at it though...can't keep up with the kiddos with faster reflexes.

Guild is Gooble Gobble, an eclectic bunch of goofballs. No raid progression 'cus we can barely get organized enough to do a random Heroic, lol. Just a bunch of RL friends and friends of, so it's all good.

I think the best console game I ever played was God of War, so awesome.

I've been addicted to Just Cause 2 lately. If you've ever wanted to play a cheesy action movie before, this is your game. If Michael Bay and his love of special effects existed back in the heyday of over-the-top 80s action flicks this would be the result. And your character is basically a Scarface/James Bond cross, which makes it all the more awesome. The game world is huuuuge too. It took someone 6 full minutes to fly across the map in the fastest aircraft in the game.

MW2 is like crack to me. OMG, must play!!!!!

That's why I'm on a PvP server. I never would've gotten on a PvP server if it wasn't for my RL friends (most of whom I hadn't seen in 25 years prior to connecting on Facebook and then WoW).

I am not a big fan of PvP. My guild does fairly well with heroics and randoms and I spend lots of time leveling alts and helping lowbies. But when it comes to arena matches, I may as well be doing brain surgery blindfolded (no, I'm not a brain surgeon).

WoW sucks you in, that's for sure. I never imagined I would like it, but I do. For now anyway. The farming of badges is starting to get mighty old. Every time I see the Oculus zoning screen coming up, I have this instatiable urge to hit Alt-F4 and go play Pogo.

We may have to arrange for all the V4L second lifers to meet up! Who's willing to expose their AV name?

Bith Wierwight. Used to be heavily into the Star Wars SL scene, but now hang "tiny." :D I've had galleries, shops and rentals there, but now I just have a free-to-the-public airport. The inworld economy (esp land) had gotten bad, so I just log in to have fun these days.

I'd love to meet up! BTW, yes my av usually has a pipe or something hehe. It would be fun to make a virtual PV! *ponders*

And yes, to any SL newbs: be careful. Feel free to PM me if you want SL help!

I'm always playing something. I have played WOW for 3 years on Dawnbringer server. I'm also messing around with the old Final Fantasy MMO while I wait to be chosen for the beta of the new Final Fantasy XIV MMO due out this year. I played Aion for awhile but got bored with it. My favorite console games have been Mass Effect, Dead Space, Resident Evil 4 & 5, Fable, New Super Mario Bros, Rock Band, Dragon Age, Little Big Planet, all of The Sims games, Dynasty Warriors and the new Final Fantasy XIII is an absolutely amazing game :D

I am more of a closet Gamer. I don't like to lash out and say "HEY I PLAY VIDEO GAMES!" I keep it all on the Down low. But just to humor the masses i guess i will post some...

I am a huge MMO Freak. Started playing Tibia (it was free!) and moved onto Final Fantasy XI. After a few years of Final Fantasy XI i moved onto World Of Warcraft back in '06 i believe.. And i have been playing ever since. But im not a WoW only kinda guy... "One Game, A gamer does not make you" -old creepy guy at Game Stop.

I play Mag and sometimes some Killzone on PS3 (Tag: Triggrhappyemt) I don't do much PS3 because well... im not a Sony Fan anymore... Ironically I love Microsoft and spend most of my time on my Xbox 360. Thats ironic because im a Mac ........ Thats right im a MAC PC Gamer. Vista kinda killed any love i had for the PC. SO yeah on 360 i am crazy for FPS but also find myself doing the occasional RPG or hack and slash (360 Gamer Tag: TriggerHappyEMT) You can find me on Battlefield Bad Company 2 and sometimes the occasional Call of Duty MWF2... DOH That reminds me! New maps i need to play! gah...

PC games i have never been a fan of. Sure the PC was MADE for FPS but there are some things i found i can do with a controller better than a keyboard. On top of that i ONLY buy gaming keyboards and the constant use of my keys have taken its toll on a few boards. ($100-200 each x 5 in 1 yr) and no i dont button mash or get mad and slam things (However the Wii mote is VERY aerodynamic!) But i practice and play for hours on hours and wear keys out fast. Much easier with a remote :) and i like to make little kids with bad parents cry on Xbox live mwaha

All in all you can find me most of the time on Xbox live or on WoW. You can find me on PS3 when i dont feel like doing anything else.

Quick notes from gamer to gamer on some games:

GAMES:
Dantes Inferno: Good game, some creepy crap, fun, but with less than 8hrs of gameplay for a first run through its not worth the price tag. if you wanna see the story then go find the animated movie they released and watch that. The movie IS THE GAME! Pretty much word for word. When you can find it in the $19.99 bin then go for it. But don't dish out $50+

Darksiders: God Of War much? The character designs look nice on paper as a comic but look almost laughable when put into the game. Huge, bulky armor that for one clashes in the sense of style. The whole time i was playing the only thing that went through my head was... I could be playing God of war... This game felt as though it lacked a sense of originality. You have hack and slash from GOW you have portals from... Portals... the whole world felt as though i was playing Prototype all over again. And the sidekick... well he gets annoying... Did i mention there are only like 2 attacks? and no real combo system? save yourself a few hours of headache and grab GoWIII.

God of War III: does there really have to be a word said about this? Action at every turn, graphics that would make mother nature herself cry. AND YES THERE WILL BE BLOOD MWAHAAAAA it makes me so happy.

BattleField Bad Company 2: so yeah 10min into the game... THIS SUX! .... 40min into this game... THIS kinda SUX!... 1hr into this game.... GO AWAY THIS GAME IS AWESOME! This is a game people are going to hate when they pick it up and learn to love. The game has a learning curve and the physics in the game are some pretty damn good ones. Online play is GODLY! start off in a full city and by the time the game ends you can see clear from one side of the map to the other. The maps are HUGE! and after playing it CODMWF2 Feels like a Paintball game. The destruction is great, I would of loved to of had the blood of some COD in it... There is almost none and there is no gore factor at all... All and all its a good solid game that you have to WANT to play. I honestly almost returned it the same day i got it because i thought it sucked so bad. But after a few hours i cant put the damn thing down. A Buy is a must for any Hard Core FPS fans. You just have to learn to play... Which BTW is also nice because the little basitids that troll Xbox live dont normally play this game because you have to learn to play it.

My plan in the future is to try to review games and flavors that go well while playing those games. If i get my Youtube channel running :)

Im all for an SL Vaping Meetup! My av name is Keira Lewellen, I dont think I'll ever get out of my sl addiction!

Oh yeah as far as other games, Im a HUGE Left4Dead freak, and versus mode at that. I absolutely love to drop in and kick some ... with a couple nicely timed 25 pt pounces (L4D people will know exactly what Im talking about, haha)

I also play Killing Floor, Borderlands, RE5, GTA4. and Halo 3. :D I never liked the FPS'ers until I got L4D, now I love playing multiplayer FPS.

My Xbox Live Gamertag is Firegrl, same as my forum name if anyone wants to add me.

I play just about anything. Just recently beat BioShock 2, Mass Effect 2, MW2. Currently making my way through Dragon Age, but it's missing some components that make up a good RPG like fast travel for one. Planning on getting the next Splinter Cell here in the next few weeks. I might just let the BF play it while I watch because I always get too impatient in those games and always screw up the sneaking.

Don't play the PS3 very often, but we had to get God of War III of course. I guess that's why I'm a weird girl. I enjoy WATCHING someone play a good game just as much as I do playing sometimes. Haven't physically played a single GOW, but know every game just by watching. Boyfriend and I can sit there for hours, he plays and I watch. He just finished Metro 2033 and I watched practically the whole thing. Fun to help out, especially a game with puzzles.

Gaming is my life! I even run my own video game blog, though I don't update as often as I'd like due to work. Working seems to get in the way of my gaming a lot lol!
