Druid heals via HealBot = easymode!
i log into my 80's for the weekly and to do an ICC every once and awhile with the guild.
my work schedule doesnt allow progression raiding.
im casual. both 80's are 2700ish gearscore. i wont progress them much more than that unless its luck.

i heirloomed up a pally and a hunter and have been leveling them both. lving one while the other builds full rest and visa versa.
they both hit 60 a couple a days ago.

some people like to read books in the spare time, watch tv, i just lvl. its a mindless cooldown after a stressful day

I changed my prot/ret pally to holy/ret pally because of healbot. I was terrified to even attempt healing, but healbot made it all better.

By the way, my both my pally and hunter are over 5k GS (although I hate Gearscore with a passion but that's OT). Very little of my gear came from raid drops. I just did random heroics until I had enough triumph badges to get a full set of T9 gear. I've also gathered up enough frost badges to get a few pieces of T10 gear. It takes longer to do it that way, but at least you have something to shoot for.

Personally, I think the whole "farming badges" thing is a bad idea. It's getting really old to have to run the same dungeons over and over and over again. But, WoW loves their timesinks. Oh well, love it or leave it I guess.

And I do love it. Stupid game. :D;)

I heal the hard way...no heal bot. My Priest GS is 4991 with the healing gear and 4967 with the shadow gear.

Ok, we all sound like complete geeks...but we make it look good, right?

My main was my hunter for so long that making things go boom is the only thing I do well. When it comes to healing, I need all the help I can get.

Did any one see the movie gamer that's what Sl should be like

The beginning of the movie Surrogates, with the nightclub and the guy does the swan dive? The first time I saw it I was thinking, "Did they film this movie in Second Life?"

It helps a lot if you can find a more experienced user to help you over the hump. There's lots of people in there, I promise. About 54,000 when I logged in last night!

Is that gear score with the gear score mod or wow-heroes?

I used to heal the hard way with some mouse over macro's but now I use vuh-do which is like heal-bot on steroids combined with x-perl. I do this so I have one hand free to vape.

That is my gs using to gs-lite addon. My server seems to like that better than WoW-heroes. The site has me at 2666, and says I should be doing ICC10 &25, but my server won't touch you to go in there without at least 5200gs using gs-lite.

I think that in a lot of cases, people put too much faith in gear score. I've ran with people 219's and blues who play way past their gear score. I've also ran with people with high gear scores who seem to be phoning it in.

I have two level capped toons a druid and a priest. Priest is strictly a healer, druid tanks and heals. In BC I had 7 70's but that was way too much maintenance so I deleted 5 of them when wotlk came out. My guild is small, only 9/12 in ICC 10 but we have a lot of fun.

But remember that WoW-Heroes uses a very different scoring system. It's much more accurate because it takes into account gems and enchants. I could dump all my agi gems on my hunter and replace them with spirit gems and still have the same gearscore accoring to the gs addon (around 5300). But I know for a fact that my DPS would drop by 50% or more.

And as far as ICC goes, a few weeks ago I pugged a 5 man with a Warrior tank whose GS was around 3800. This guy was AMAZING! He knew every fight like the back of his hand, he lost aggro a few times but taunted them back very nicely and he actually listened to the other team members, including the healer when he said OOM! It wasn't the fastest run ever and we had a few deaths, but we got it done and everyone was happy. When that tank gets geared up, he will be one of the best on the server.

So, I have a HUGE problem with the Gearscore addon. Yes, it gives a quick picture of what a player has on, but in no way should it be used to determine if someone is fit for a particular dungeon or raid. But, all of this is my humble opinion. It's very possible that your mileage may vary.

I love that screen shot! How did you do that? Or did you have to photoshop it?

WoW-Heroes is miles better than the addon, agreed.

And, I do not believe this rumor of a tank that listened to a healer saying oom, it's against the unwritten tank code.

A tank that pays attention to OOM...is his name WoWGoD? I have come across very few tanks that don't showboat themselves, run ahead of the healer...die...call the healer bad names, and then carry an attitude the rest of the dungeon. There are a few! The first time I did heroic HoR, I had to find a group through the dungeon finder. I told the group I hadn't been in there before, and asked if there was anyting I needed to know...the reply..."we're all going to die". I made it through the first wave, and quite successfully...I got group hugs! I was told that dungeon was too difficult to try, and I healed it very successfully.

GS does not = skill...there is no way to know a person's skill level unless you've actually grouped with them. 8 months ago, gs was not at all a consideration, and now you can't get an invite without exceptional score. I've also noticed that many pugs want gs AND achievement in said dungeion/instance before they will consider throwing an invite...I find this idea a little ridiculous, myself.

LOL! In my guild, our primary tank ALWAYS makes sure our primary healer has plenty of mana before he pulls.

Of course, I suppose the fact that the primary tank is married to the primary healer IRL has something to do with that.
