I've been surfing around and there are butane powered vaporizers out there (designed to vaporize other "Organic" materials) but they tend to be more "session" oriented as opposed to the "on demand" duty cycle we mostly require. I think this is by virtue of the heat/cool lag times...
I just can't help but think, in a world of over the top tech we are still so much in the dark ages with our basic potential+resistance=heat methodology...I've shown my
mods to the guys I work with and they talk about designing thermistors feedback loops into a variable wattage controller, coupled with conductivity feedback of the wicking to drive a direct feed micro pump (totally independent of air flow drawing liquid), with proper control and maintenance an atty coil should last years not weeks...sooner or later there'll be a quantum tech leap for e cigs, I guess it's just a matter of R&D recovery...
