Hey there, ECF!
Just a newb here wanting to say "Hi".
A little about me:
I haven't had an analog in about a month now, but I actually never really had the intention to quit smoking during that time. I tried Blus a while back (for a period of about 3 months, with the intention of quitting), moved to a pen type vaporizer, and, in both cases, they were wildly unsatisfying. I missed the throat hit of smoking yet only received the nicotine, so I was feeding the addiction and receiving no satisfaction, just like marriage. After about a month, the pen vaporizer even started to lack flavor and became even less enjoyable.
Welp, fast forward a couple of years, and, on a whim, I decided to look for something that would give me a more satisfying experience, just out of curiosity. Someone directed me to a vape shop and recommended a mod. There, someone set me up with a Tugboat clone and a Nemesis clone, and I really fell in love with vaping. I just simply stopped smoking from that point on and stuck to vaping because it was more satisfying in every way. So, basically, there was no effort put into quitting. To me, it's akin to why I stopped drinking coffee about half a year ago. I love coffee, but it turns out I enjoy drinking tea a lot more. There's a wide variety of flavors with tea, as opposed to somewhat varying similar flavors with coffee. That's kind of how vaping is to me, and how and why I started this wonderful, yet expensive, journey. It's almost like stepping into a whole, new world, if you'd allow me that kind of a dramatic comparison.
Fortunately, shortly thereafter, I happened to find this forum and learned all about safety with mech mods, batteries, and Ohm's Law (this place is truly a great resource!). It turns out I had been luckily set up pretty well with some VTC4s on a dual coil build that the attendant at the vape shop made for me, so the risk of losing fingers was avoided, but I wish I had found this place before my dive.
In any case, I've had an altogether great time, trying out new builds and wicks, searching for new RDAs and Mods (looking for a good box mod under $200, if anyone's feeling kind enough to recommend one), breaking my bank over the continuous search for great ejuices, researching all sorts of tidbits of informatoin in a dynamically changing industry, and having fun reading all the info and testimonials here. It's seems like a great community, and I look forward to becoming part of it.
Anyway, sorry for the long post. I missed my counseling session, so I thought I'd take it out on you guys.
Have a great day! Have a great vape!
