IMHO the Kylin is a better buy

I was thinking between the 2. Any particular reason why? Same guy designed both but geekvape has been known for good quality while vandy only has one item in aware of and that's the icon

Same guy designed both of them & he was behind geekvape reputation as chief designer since he is starting his own business & his own line I'm sure he is adding his personal touch to his own line to impress us with.

Yeah but geekvape quality is well known. Vandy vape really isn't. Geekvape uses the best post screws so I was leaning towards geekvape personally

Vandy also put out the Govad...

    But that's not important.

I think I prefer the Ammit. The inclusion of the fill ring and the greater capacity trump the small differences in the deck.

I'm about to pull the trigger on my first RTA and right now it is a 3 way race between:
    Original Ammit
    Ammit dual
    OBS engine nano
exo rta. it's got the same deck as the ammit for single coil and a dual coil velocity deck so gives you both options. has a 2.2ml tank and 6 ml tank so you can choose how big you want it. as far as flavor i don't have any of the 3 you listed but i have a ton of attys and the exo flavor is top notch. the engine nano won't be that good. i have the original engine and it's a very muted flavor and not good for medium to high watt builds

Just received mine. Washing it up now. Typical GeekVape product thus far, i.e. Clean, machined well, not a single scratch on it, and is attractive! No broken o-rings, no cracked glass, very nice (as usual.)

Only complaint so far is that the side airflow holes that they claim are for direct-to-coil airflow (you know, the whole selling point of the tank) - that's crap, the holes are machined facing directly up, instead of facing toward the coils. So they will not directly hit the coils. Missed opportunity, IMO

Got mine in and, while way more time is needed before I can legitimately pass judgement on the tank, so far it’s two big thumbs up!

The build quality is excellent. All the threading is perfect not only on the tank but also on the build deck grub nuts. I’m not nuts (if you’ll pardon the horrid pun) about them having flat heads instead of hex heads, but no problems in actual use.

The overall style is also very nice with one exception: the “racing stripe” that is on the black version. To my eye it’s distracting rather than complimentary to the overall look of the tank.

The extra top cap does not come installed, but rather is packed in the base of the box. I’m using it but even with it not installed, the glass did not wobble when it was fully exposed at the top.

I put in a pre-built coil from a sample pack I got from Advanced Vape Supply – one of their 316L SS Vertebraid coils. I usually build my own, but not having a good hand day today (arthritis). So, dipped into my stash of pre-builts. It was a 0.21 ohm coil with an ID of just a hair over 3mm.

Mounting the coil was very straightforward. I didn’t use the single coil spacer, but rather mounted it in the center. Very easy to wick as well – just cut, fluff and gently poke so that the full juice hole is covered but not packed.

So far I’ve run it only in wattage, and have been 100% satisfied with the vape quality and taste. No problems whatsoever with the wicking keeping up even when chain vaping at 70 watts. Very ample airflow. I’ve only been using the shorty tank but I’m certainly going to be swapping it out for the larger one – I can blow through a tank VERY quickly even with just the single coil build.

The only notable dislike so far is the sound. Wide open there’s a wind tunnel like sound from the airflow. It’s low-pitched so it’s not as grating as airflows that whistle, but it still is somewhat annoying. This is not a tank I’ll be using when speaking on the phone.

Sorry for the poor quality photos – best I could manage.

Really nice RTA. Flavor is outstanding. Almost too much.

Like Hazozita mentioned, the sound is a bit of a bummer. Half-way open is just...odd sounding. Not so much turbulent, but I agree, like a wind-tunnel.

If you close it off any further tho, to the 3/4 closed mark, it's a loud whistle, and is basically not usable. Unless you like that noise, but I find it annoying. Thankfully, you don't need to close it off that far to get great flavor.

I also just tested the resistance reading in escribe for TC - it's rock solid.

yup. pretty much anytime you buy a geekvape product, they quality is going to be much better then you'd expect from such a cheap atomizer. they use better post screws then 100+ dollar atomizers and the machining and threading is always top notch. they always feel really well built
