Hello and welcome to today's review of the Aegis Legend 5 from Geekvape. This latest rendition of the Legend mod Kit ships with the performance proven Z-tank (2021 ). I am no stranger to the Aegis Legend family of devices as I have reviewed all of them, the Legend device is a rugged rock solid device that boast a IP-68 rating. For those of you not familiar with the IP-68 rating it means it's shock-resistant, dust proof and waterproof with continuous submersion in water beyond 1 meter (usually 1-3 meters) for a specified time (often 30 mins+).

The Legend 5 has a slightly different appearance with added lighting effects and haptic feedback along with the new AS 4.0 chipset but the Legend form is still there. I wont be covering the Z-tank ( 2021 ) in detail because I've reviewed it many times in the past, it's a proven winner for sure producing great flavor from the Z- series coils. There are more pictures than usual and I didn't include the side lighting effects because they were impossible to capture on my camera.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


The past Aegis Legend Kits have always came packaged with a nice presentation and so does the Legend 5 Kit. The new aesthetic look really pops especially the racing design that was sent to me.

Carbon fiber adorns both sides next to the metal C-Frame, the spine as well as the bottom spring loaded battery door have a rubberized leather feel to them. The A-Lock functions great locking and unlocking all buttons with the flick of my thumb.

Branding is tastefully done throughout the device and adds to the pizazz in my opinion. The top plate has wavy design strictly for subtle aesthetics, the stiff 510 pin has good amount of travel. Geekvape puts a protective sticker on the display screen, I peeled some back to see if the screen was a fingerprint magnet and indeed it is so I placed it back in place, I try to keep protective stickers on as long as I can until they eventually just fall off from use.

The spring loaded battery door seems to be very strong and hasn't opened up tapping it fairly hard on a concrete slab. On the door itself correct battery polarity symbols are embossed as well as correct polarity symbols inside the battery tubes showing a red + and a blue - negative symbol.

As feature rich as this device is operating it is very simple with a easy to access menu system. For those of you that want to turn the side lights off you can deactivate them in the menu.

There are five power modes to choose from including TC, ECO, SMART, NORMAL AND CUSTOM. I don't vape in TC so I can't tell you how well it performs in that mode but the other modes perform great.

All and all I find the Aegis Legend 5 Kit to be a winner. I like that the shape of the device has stayed the same with a great ergonomic hand fit that fits me nicely.It's still as rugged as ever with the IP-68 rating that I appreciate on the many construction job sites I have to visit daily.

The new aesthetics and side lights bring a even better look than past models. Having a drop dead simple and easy menu system makes navigating it a breeze. Pairing it up with the performance proven Z-Tank ( 2021 ) and Z- Series coils really seal the deal ( GREAT KIT ).
