Hello today I would like to tell you about a new kit consisting of the Aegis L200 Mod (Legend II) and the Zeus Sub-ohm tank version 2021 that GeekVape kindly sent me in exchange for my honest review.

The package with which the kit arrived is probably not the final one, it is a large black cardboard box. Externally it shows the Geek vape logo with a specific "sample" not intended for sale.
Removing the lid you are faced with a nice thank you letter written by Geek Vape with golden fonts on an orange background.

Small size and lightness:
Geekvape claims that the new L200 Mod is 30% lighter but also 15% smaller than the previous Legend 200W version. In its category (IP68) Aegis L200 is a candidate to be the smallest dual battery Mod currently on the market.

IP68-Tri-proof 2nd generation:
All other Aegis series devices have an IP67 rating, which means they can withstand immersion in water to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Geekvape has integrated the new Tri-proof technology to give the Mod L200 an additional degree of protection (not yet quantified) that offers superior resistance over time to deep dives.
Additionally, the company has announced that the new mod is capable of withstanding an even higher level of shock! Compared to accidental drops or other unfavorable conditions that could damage any traditional mod.
GeekVape claims that the Aegis L200 can withstand temperatures between -20 ° C and + 50 ° C.

Color range:
At the moment Geekvape L200 (Aegis Legend 2) Kit is available in Silver, Gray, Black, Navy Blue, Red, Rainbow colors.
The Sample subject of this review (Silver) is one of the most elegant and sober colors among those available.

Improved comfort:
With its 2nd generation design GeekVape L200 features a lighter and smaller build than its predecessors.
The lines are more harmonious and the metallic decorations appear of greater value, the comfort of the Up / Down and Fire adjustment buttons has remained unchanged, while the lower base and other details are finely covered in soft silicone for a refined and unparalleled tactile pleasure.

Handle:
Redefined in the shapes and improved in the quality of the leather, it greatly increases comfort, furthermore the area is pleasantly decorated with multiple and parallel vertical seams, 3 white strings appear at the top that give a beautiful handcrafted appearance to the product.

Side view:
The family feeling with the other Aegis at least in the look is evident there are the torx screws in sight as well as the leather insert that also extends laterally. The classic mask bears the decorated writing "AEGIS" on one side and "GEEKVAPE" on the other.
* The mask can be removed by unscrewing the 4 screws, and will probably also be sold as a color replacement (sold separately).

A-Lock slider:
The new A-Lock slide key is basically a physical lock button that prevents accidental activation when the Aegis L200 is stored in the bag or pockets. This sliding button is located near the display, easily reachable by the fingers so just slide this slider down to completely disengage the device thus preventing accidental ignitions that could burn the atomizer coil or cause potentially dangerous situations.
Personally I find the A-Lock sliding button convenient, however I would also have kept the traditional regulation lock system (watts) not present on this version of Aegis.

Front Section and Display:
This part is also leaner than previous Aegis versions! The control keys maintain a very similar physiognomy, especially that of "Fire" while the Up / Down adjustment keys are now arranged horizontally above a special rocker.
The vertical 1.08-inch color display is quite bright and comfortable to read. View all the most important data.

Operation Guide:
• Power On / Off: Press the Fire button 5 times in quick succession.
• Power Adjustment: Press the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the power between 5 and 100W, the increment is 0.5W at a time
• TC: Press the "+" 0 "-" buttons to adjust the temperature. The increment is 5 ° F / 1 ° C from 100 ° C to 315 ° C or 200 ° F / 600 ° F, long press the button to speed up the adjustment.
• Menu: Press the Fire button 3 times to enter the POWER, NI setting mode. TI, SS. TCR, VPC BYPASS.
• Puff reset: In the menu press the Fire button to scroll and select "PUFF". Press "Down" to clear the current value.
• TCR: In the menu press the Fire button to scroll and select the TCR. Press "+" or "-" to adjust the TCR parameters.
• VPC: In the menu press the Fire button to scroll and select P1. Press the "+" or "-" button to adjust the power value P1. Keep pressing the
Fire button to move the cursor to P2 and repeat the same operation to adjust the power value P3, P4, P5.
• New atomizer: When a new atomizer is inserted the user is prompted to select new / old atomizer.
• Bypass mode: The constant output voltage is 4.15V.
• FW display: Press the fire button 5 times to turn off the device, during shutdown press the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously for seconds, the version information will be visible for a few seconds.
• Stealth Mode: Simultaneously press the Fire button, the "+" button and the "-" button for 2 seconds, do the same procedure to exit the stealth mode.
• Background color change: In setting mode, press the "+" and "-" buttons simultaneously to switch to the next theme (Blue, Green, Purple, Orange, Yellow).
• Screen brightness adjustment: Press the "+" and Fire button simultaneously for 1 second to display the brightness adjustment icon, hold down the fire button and adjust the brightness with the "+" and "-" buttons .

Top of the Mod:
It accommodates atomizers up to 25mm in diameter with no protrusion, the 510 thread has a sliding thread and the contact pin is plated / gold and spring loaded.
The upper edge is covered with soft silicone whose appendix (IP68) hides the USB-C charging port that can also be used for the FW update.
The previous Aegis Legend model had a hard-to-open waterproof cover on its USB port. Perhaps Geekvape has realized this since the new cover is easy to lift and reposition while maintaining the important water resistance properties.
The Mod is equipped with Pass-Trough while charging it is also possible to vape, the charging current is cut off by the protection.
* However I think it is not advisable to vape while charging nor to use the built-in USB charging function for the cells, personally I think it is better to use an appropriate external charger to avoid risks and unnecessary workloads on the circuit.

Bottom of the Mod:
The lid is also covered with the same silicone rubber which also offers a good grip to keep the mod standing up, the sliding button for opening / closing the compartment / batteries is in a protected position and operates effortlessly.
The flap inside has the polarities marked and is completely covered in silicone rubber which guarantees water resistance.

Zeus Sub-ohm tank version 2021:
This Tank is the restyling of the previous model, it differs in a few details, on the central structure it has a new laser engraved logo and the upper AFC adjustment is wider for better performance in DL.
Below we can see all the pieces that make up the Zeus Sub-Ohm Tank; the central trunk, the Top-Cap, the drip-tip, the deck, the coil, the air adjustment ring, the Tool to extract the coils and the 5.5ml Bubble glass.

The Top cap is equipped with an internal o'ring to hold the drip tip.
The closure of the top-cap is the same and effective as the other Zeus, in fact half a turn is enough to open / close thanks to the interlocking system through the two teeth placed on the body of the atomizer. For the refill, the respective slots are large in size.

On the bottom of the atom the pin 510 is gold plated and is quite protruding, always on the bottom there are the serial number, designed by geekvape, C E marks, disposal and the name of the product in capital letters.

In the image below you can see the two large slots communicating with the air-flow top and the slots for the metal tabs designed to house the coil. With a simple pressure we will insert our coil, taking care that the fins of the coil itself go to fit into the two notches visible in the photo.
On the central body we can also see the NEW Zeus logo. Instead, the three large white o'ring are used to seal the pyrex glass and to seal the air adjustment ring.

Final conclusions:
Hoping to have best described this new kit from GeekVape, I will briefly summarize what I found.

The high build quality of the Aegis models is universally recognized in the "vape world" and Geekvape L200 (Aegis Legend 2) keeps all the best already seen on the previous IP67 versions, however now the finishes are of the highest quality and also the materials and some small details denote a notable improvement. The form factor of this Mod with its record size and weight enhance portability and with the introduction of the IP68 specification the "Tri-Proof" qualities of the device have also improved.
The new AS chipset is rich in features, responsive and expresses power well even at high wattages, manages the cells in a balanced way during the discharge phase and the ohm reading appears precise. The progression by holding down the up / down keys while adjusting the power is very fast and the screen, although not very large, reads well and offers the possibility to customize the background color.

Zeus Sub Ohm Tank with replaceable coils is not a brand new project but it defends itself well with a good build quality, aromatic yield is excellent and smooth operation. Consumption is acceptable thanks probably also to the `` human size '' of these coils. The watertightness of the system is a direct consequence of the arrangement of the air circuit from above.
Finally, the practical refilling of the Zeus Sub-Ohm Tank derives from the comfortable and large buttonholes and from the effective and fast opening / closing system of the Top-Cap at 1/4 turn.
