Geekvape Aegis X firmware upgrade using a Mac

I've got the dreaded 1 battery empty, 1 battery full bug, and they have a firmware update to fix it. However, I only have a Mac and no access to a Microslop Windows system. Has anyone managed to figure out how to upgrade the firmware using a Mac? Is there a Mac tool?

Unfortunately I don't have one. I have virtual box installed, but I need a Miscroslop licence and not paying for one.

That's sort of how developers feel about paying for a license to release Mac programs.
