Not to hijack the thread but to all the minikin lovers, have any of you tried the Tesla wye?

I have looked at the Wye many times but just don't love the color selection. The colors make me think of Easter eggs. That is probably not a great reason to reject a mod but I need to love my mod in every way. :) It is a great suggestion though so thank you.

Installed the 510 drip tip and the flavor improved a little.
I’ll have to rewick later, I didn’t use enough cotton and now I can’t vape it above 40W. It’s starts to dry hit too quickly.
Zeus loves cotton, use more than you think you need.

You either love the colors or hate them. Lol I didn’t mind a couple of them but I went with the black/green paint splatter because the batteries are visible through the door vent and my Sony VTC’s are green so matcha matcha

@Major911 - the only ones I am seeing online right now are the Easter egg colors. Admittedly, I didn't look too hard. I will give them serious consideration. Your set up looks fabulous! ❤️ I use the same batteries and I did buy a black Zeus. I also have the black OBS Nano but was planning on selling it. :)

I found all my tanks either need M2.5 or M3 screws. I think this is cheaper and better suits vaping needs:
$7.95 Replacement Phillips + Hexagonal Screw for DIY E-Cigarettes (200 Pieces) 200-pack - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

And you really need to get one of this 1.3mm Hex screwdriver: $9.21 W504 High Speed Steel 1.5mm / 2mm / 2.5mm / 3mm Hex Screwdrivers Tool Kit (4 Pieces) - 3.5mm outer diameter / 17cm length / blue at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
ever since I use one of this, no more scrub screw.
Unfortunately Fasttech does not have the 1.3mm size, I got mine from AliExpress.com

@hiclass Thank you for links. Have already ordered grubs for Zeus and Nano, if I don't like them I'll try the others. Will take a look at hex screwdriver. I have a few of the tri-tools, but they are too soft and only work for about a dozen coil changes. To be fair they were all either free or cheap.

Am I going to need special grub screws for the Zeus?

Adding a whole lot more cotton to the coil did make the juice taste a little sweeter. Very odd how that works. I’m so used to rda and rdta.

But I still can’t take the wattage higher, I’ll have to try it with a different coil. Not that I need to, I just like experimenting. And Vaping at 27-30 watts right now is perfect.

Might try 10wraps instead of 6 wraps.

They were listing links to the hex head grubs for me since Letitia has noted the ones on the Zeus are slotted ones.

I believe the hex will be much easier in the long run to use since they are not as prone to stripping out as the slotted and/or phillips tend to be.

Thank you! I will refer back to this thread if I need to order screws. All help is appreciated.

No, you don't need them. The screws are inset on side, not above like Nano. I personally don't like the slotted flatheads. Many are fine with them. If you don't like the screws pm me, I'll send you a few.

I’m using 8 wraps of SS316L 26GA spaced, 3mm ID. KGD cotton, pretty thick through the coil with the ends fluffed and raked just enough to “declump”... ends are trimmed after fluffing/raking and might be barely brushing the bottom inside of the base cap. The cotton is thick in the channels, but just thick enough that when juiced, it is filling out the channel but not overflowing the channel.

I keep the coil pretty low, hard to measure this but lower definitely seems better, as I’m guessing most of the air is coming from the larger bottom ports.
