I haven't had that crop up with mine. Hate to see you are having problems. Have you watched a few of the yt vids? They do help.

Yeah I watched the video above and only difference I noticed, is that his coil lines up with the wick channel.
Where’s I, mount the coil parallel to the cheese grader air holes. Thus my wick makes a 45 degree turn to the side and then, a 90 degree turn downwards. So I think that 45 degree turn might be slowing down the juice flow.
I’ll have to test the theory later and see if I see improvements.

I’m having vacuum issues on the second refill. Constantly have to prime it or open the juice cap to get some air in. I’m vaping at 25watts and at times have to drop it to 20 watts to avoid dry hit.

Going to try a different wicking setup first.

After you mentioning that you stuck the wick all the way down, when I rewicked mine I used a Scottish roll with the KDG cotton. Going extremely strong still and getting good pulls at 20-27.5 watts. I think it might just be finicky.

Here is mine currently.

His coil in the video is perpendicular to the cheese grater airflow just like in your pic with the wick bending twice.

For my typical 50/50 liquid, I’m parallel with the posts and bending my wicks. Cotton is relatively thick in the coil, enough to move back and forth with a little resistance/no movement of the coil. My tails are gently curved and placed in the channels, fluffed, raked, and juiced before placement. It fills out the channel but there is none bulging out by any means. Some of the wicking ends are barely brushing the bottom, definitely not spread out on the bottom.

My 70/30 VG/PG liquid is identical except for a little extra raking/thinning, and I give it even more room in the channel, even maybe a small void of in there to feed more efficiently. If I don’t thin it more, the vape is weak and dry, and would probably dry hit if I weren’t using TC.

I think that’s my issue. I don’t thinn out and rake the tails enough. I’m used to RDA and RDTA wicking, where I don’t have to thin out and rake the tails.
That makes sense now why I might be having issues.
Looking at the pic I posted, there is a huge bulge in the bend next to the coil and that might be part of the problem.

I do leave a big shoulder on Nano wick to improve flavor. It is not needed for Zeus. The af on Zeus is so smooth. Hadn't noticed the shoulder on your wick until I took a second look. I don't thin tails much for Zeus, but I do thin them. More of a comb out than thinning.

Just came across this review. And this guy specifically talks about having the thin out the wicks.

Guess what I am Vaping on?????
I finally had a chance to build, wick and use the Zeus - I like it! Trying my new flavor- The SauceLA Red Laces and it tastes really nice!
I am using a Demon Killer Kanthal 0.36Ω quad coil sitting almost even with the air stems with Walgreens Organic cotton ball, thinned out the tails which I left long and stuffed under the deck. Tried at 35w- a little too warm for me and now at 32w, no spits or gurgles, so far-
I needed to give the tank on more twist and now my Zeus face is in the correct spot!I am always afraid of over tightening!
The whole tank broke down pretty easily, very smooth threads. I am not thrilled with the top cap, but I will get used to it. Took some pressure to finally get it to go in the little slot channels to lock it in place.
I think the Zeus has a much better flavor than the OBS Nano, but still the OBS Crius ll is the best flavor tank of my single coil RTAs. I am glad that I purchased the Zeus! I think the SS Zeus it looks great on my Smoant Battlestar in the CWC print which is bronze, gold, silver and cream!

Hey Snap...now you have a redneck god setup! Sweet.:D Glad you like the rta.
LOL- you're right!
I am really liking the Zeus- I think it looks smashing with the digital camo Battlestar too! I am really glad that I gave RTAs another try after my OBS dual coil 22mm fiasco- that tank ran way too hot for my liking! I love the Nano, Crius ll and the Zeus all very nice single coil RTAs- Heck, I am really loving the Ample Pixy RDTA- that is dual coil, but it is nice to be able to rewick and or recoil with out taking a tank apart! Flavor is excellent too!

The slow ship from China finally arrived!!! Really surprised by how smooth and plentiful the air is. Hard to believe this thing is top air only. .17 fc at 57 watts and it's begging for more. I chain vaped it and couldn't get it to go dry. Many thanks to everyone for recommending this gem

Absolutely loving this tank! Flavor is excellent an the airflow is less restrictive than the OBS Nano. I’ve got a 24g 316 SS Coil @ .48ohm that I’m vaping at 30W on the paranormal 75c. The OBS Nano is my pocket rig on the esquare dna60.

Has everyone found this thank to be a juice guzzler? The performance is stellar, but I’m definitely spending more $$ on juice with the Zeus.
